Foodie thoughts and munchie mumbles, food diary of a self confessed chocoholic

Hey Sweetie!

Good to see you back posting :)

I'm making Stew n Dumplings for Dinner tonight too! No Mash tho, I'm a Dumplings Only Girl!

Pumpkin Soup sounds yummy too, tis the season for Pumpkin!

Lots of Love xxxxx

I didn't make soup, I will be doing it tomorrow now, dinner is in slow cooker, dessert is chillin' in the fridge and tastes lush! Couldn't get hold of lf fromage frais so used philly light and total greek yogurt, the recipe is similar to one I've made loads of times but I usually use options, I used dark chocolate today and it makes a huge difference, more points and it doesn't look a lot but totally worth it :) I never follow recipes properly anyhoo, so just had to work out the pp and the casserole and dumplings worked out a point less and the dessert a point more so that's fine. The dumpling recipe was easy, no suet, it was SR flour, lf spread, wholegrain mustard, parsley and a splash of water to bind it together. My Mum used to make dumplings lie this when we were kids and the come out very light and fluffy  can't wait :D

I can't live without mash lol! I am potato mad, it's not a proper dinner without tatas :D

I love pumpkin soup too, I'm wondering whether to shove it in the oven and roast it before I turn it into soup Mmmmm!

Deffo not well trained, I only cook when I WANT to lol! He usually has to fend for himself :p And those are my margarita glasses, usually only filled with alcohol :party0036:

It was gorgeous, so rich, when I made it I thought the portion size was a bit stingy, but there was plenty, I think next time I may not add the philly as it set quite thick, could have been used as a cheese cake filling

Just having my coffee and thinking about washing my hair, work at 12, so I will have to get my lunch soon, thin I'm going to have a wrap and salad, the other half of the beef casserole and dumplings tonight with broccoli, cauli and potatoes.

Not sure what we are having today, going to work in a bit, finishing at 6, might be a ready meal from morrisons and salad. Just had 40g special K, 80ml ssk milk and an apple and will grab something at work later. Might take a ww soup and have a crusty roll. I was so tempted last night to buy a reduced crusty cottage loaf but I resisted lol! Otherwise I would have eaten the lot with loads of butter

Did u see my Post the other day with Tiger Bread? I got a reasonable portion for 6pp I think. I guess Butter would whack up the pp but I don't eat that. X My 400g Loaf did 3x6pp, 1x3pp and 1x2pp.x

Yep, but I don't think I could trust myself with a whole loaf lol!

Made the mistake of grabbing a bag of mixed nuts & raisins from the meal deal chiller to tide me over until lunch at half 3, 11pp of mistake, won't be doing that again lol! Oh well at least I have plenty of weeklies to play with. Also bought some stuff to put away for Xmas but there is a box of mcvitites mini gingerbread men downstairs calling to me lol! I may just go and work out how many pp they are, in case of emergencies

Oops at the 11pp but at least it was a healthy snack :) I made sure I froze the 'portions' so I wasn't tempted to pick! I think the Gingerbread Men should work out 'ok' as the little bags are 3pp. X

I weighed out a portion of the gingerbread men and as there were 2 portions of 6 and 2 of 7 I've got one of the portions with 7 in and given the other to Mark and they worked out at 4 so that's pretty good :)

Todays food :)

That's what you get for scoffing pizza and not sharing :Na_Na_Na_Na:

Day off today so going to make that pumpkin soup I was going to make Sunday, also going to make some lentil hash and have it with baked sweet potato for tea. Had this while we were away in a little tearoom near Santon Bridge, it was gorgeous, they topped it with bacon and cheese, I'm not using bacon but I may add a little cheese on top! Yum! Can't wait :D Got some washing in already, and then I'm going to get on with some card making and try to get my blog updated. If I've time I might walk down and meet Mar from work later and call in the new tea shop and farm shop that has opened across from where he works, been meaning to call in for ages and just not got around to it yet!
