French food ideas

We're having a French day at school on Friday and I need some ideas either for simple things the children can make and eat, or ideas for a little french picnic........ Thanks in advance xxx

What year do you teach? I teach year one - they are lovely

Breads and cheeses perhaps, croissants with chocolate? Could make these - look yummy Madeleines Recipe – Classic Madeleine Cakes

I teach year one too, its my third year of being in year one, and I love it! Tose madeleines sound yummy, and achievable (even with my culinary skills!) Am printing the recipe out as we speak- thanks xxx

No probs I have just moved from reception to year one, used to teach ks2 but ended up in ks1 a few years back and love it

well reception did the crepes and I did the cheese puffs, I think they more resembled cheesy yorkshire puds, but the kids were pleased with em, all 90 year ones! thanks ladyeez x
