From Tub to Buff!

Time to start a diary and keep track of everything. I know it's lazy but I'm just going to copy and paste what I've written in my intro thread rather than write it all again!

Hi Everyone!

Thought it was about time that I introduced myself on here and got a bit more involved.

I joined slimming world on Tuesday just gone weighing in with officially the unluckiest weight in the world 13 stone 13 pounds!

I've always struggled with my weight and can probably be categorised as a typical yo-yo dieter. I lose loads of weight then put it back on, lose it again, put it on again. This time I am ready to lose it and lose it for good. Slimming world appealed to me as it seemed more of a way to eat for life than a diet. I need something that will teach me how to eat healthy and to maintain my weight.

I'm a vegetarian so Slimming World was a good choice for me. So many weight loss plans are not veggie friendly.

So far this week I have been 100% on plan and am finding my way with meal planning etc. I'm having to retrain my brain a bit, on any other diet I've been on pasta has been a big no-n but on slimming world I can have as much as I like! I've eaten more fruit this week than I have in the last year!

I'm really hoping I can get results with Slimming World and meet some nice people in the process.

So anyway, that's a bit about me. I'm going to start a weight loss diary on here so I can keep track of my progress (or lack of) and get to know you all a bit better!

I'm on the Green Plan as I'm a veggie so will detail what I've had this week. I'm allowed 2 HEA and 2 HEB which I've not managed to do everyday. At work I normally have cereal for lunch with skimmed milk but the milk in our tea and coffee is semi-skimmed. This is why nearly everyday there are 2 milks for my HEA choices.

I made slimming world chips with a broccoli, cauliflower and cheese bake. The chips were brilliant and once covered in vinegar I wouldn't have known if they were normal oven chips or not. The Bisto cheese sauce was a bit naughty but after the carbonara disaster the other night I couldn't face having one of my favourite meals ruined by that taste. If anyone has any hints of how to make a good slimming world friendly cheese sauce please let me know.

I had a slimming world fry up which was delicious and for dinner made slimming world spinach and ricotta past which was also very tasty! I didn't manage a HEA as I rarely drink tea or coffee on the weekend so don't have any milk.

Today so far

Skimmed Milk (HEA)

Plan for the rest of the day is to have the left over spinach and ricotta pasta loads more fruit and for sweet stuff probably a muller light and maybe an alpen light.
So I had a good sunday in the end.

For Brekkie (late sunday brekkie at 12 o'clock) had 2 x Weetabix (HEB & HEA) with a banana on the top. Through the day I had 2 x clementines and a handful of grapes. For tea I had the left over spinach & ricotta pasta (HEB) with lettuce, carrot, red cabbage, tomatoes and cucumber and some fat free vinaigrette.

Today has been:

Brekkie: 2 x Clementines
Lunch: 2 x Weetabix with skimmed milk and banana (HEA & HEB)
Tea: Spinach & Ricotta Pasta with salad as above (HEB)

I'm a bit sick of the spinach and ricotta now but I made so much of it! The recepie said it was for four but I've had 3 portions now and there is definitely another 2 left! Might have to convince the OH to eat some so I can have something else!

I've got my first weeks weigh in tomorrow and I'm really nervous. I've been 100% on plan all week but I feel like I've eaten soooo much more than I would normally. Hopefully because it is good stuff rather than junk it will make the difference. I've been working out at home as well. We have a Wii and bought EA active sports 2 it's a really good work out and gets me all sweaty. After that I've been following it up with 4 songs on Just Dance which is a bit more fun but still as active.

So hopefully with the exercise I've been doing tomorrow will go ok. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Plan for tomorrow is:

Brekkie: Kiwi Fruit and clementine
Lunch: 2 x Weetabix with skimmed milk and banana (HEA & HEB)
Dinner: Eggs and slimming world chips.

There isn't any veg with dinner as I'm going round my slimming world buddies house after weigh in, hopefully she'll have some frozen peas or something that I can add.

First weigh in tonight! I am very nervous. As long as the number has gone down I don't care how much it is by just please let me have lost weight.

Been good today so far.

Brekkie: 2 x Clementines
Lunch: 2 x Weetabix (HEB) with skimmed milk (HEA) and a banana
Dinner: Nothing until after weigh in!

I've got everything crossed for tonight!
Well weigh in was last night. I was convinced I wouldn't have lost but low and behold I am down 3.5 lbs! So chuffed with that.

I stuck to plan after class as well and had the slimming world chips and 2 eggs fried in frylight.

Today has been good so far:

Brekkie: 2 x Clementines
Lunch: 2 x Weetabix (HEB) with semi skimmed milk (HEA) and a banana.
Dinner: I'm planning to make one of the soups out of my new Green Recepie book that I picked up at group last night.

I forgot to go to the shop and buy skimmed milk this morning so had to use semi on my weetabix. This means I will have to syn the milk in my coffee today, that's not a problem though as I have been having trouble using up syns.

I'm really starting to love Slimming World. I never feel hungry like I have on other diets. I'm eating so much more healthy than I ever used to. I used to think it was really hard to have 5 portions of fruit and veg a day but I'm having no trouble at all with it now.
