gastric bypass 6 weeks till op

hi after a long and emotional 18 months i have finialy been given a date for my bypass surgery.i think i have just spent all this time wanting and waiting for this ansaw and date and now i have my date wich is the 1st of october im scared and nervous and excited. i dont no what i need to take to hospitial or what to expect,and now im even more nervous because my mum is on holiday while i have my op, even though im 24 i can get very emotional and tend to need the support of my mum.if there is anybody who has been through this,id be greatful for any advice.:O)

i go in for mine tomorrow and am so nervous. I am 44 with 3 kids and its the biggest decision i have ever had to make

There is a specialist board on here for all things about weight loss surgery - and it is fantastic. You will learn everything you need to know about the operation and hear (and see) some amazingly inspirational stories. And they are some of the nicest people you will ever meet too
