    Hello , today is the start of my diary and hopefully i can be as happy and successful as most of you all have been ;)

    Stood on the scales today, and decided enough is enough, i have little or no will power, and i guess i am hoping to draw some will power and strength from the good people who are in the same predicament as myself right here.

    Got 3.5 stone to lose, so i have a long slog, but it all starts today and so far so good today, going to eat smaller portions and healthier food and cut down on the rubbish, plenty of long walks planned and hopefully join the gym.

    Got a lovely wife to back me all the way and 2 adorable kids who can egg me on along the windy road ahead.

    Here goes !!

    Now is the time to take some body measurements along with photos so that you can look back over them for motivation as you go along and see how far you have travelled.

    Are you doing any form of exercise along with your calorie controlled diet?

    Not planned any major exercise regime as of yet, but gonna walk a lot more, petrol so expensive will save me money as well as burn some calories !

    Gonna take photos tonight and maybe will take some measurements, suppose it all helps with self confidence.

    Lost 2.5 stones a few years back, but it was through basic starvation diet ! , not good for anybody, also coupled this with lots of gym work, i was a wreck ! , but was in shape :sigh:

    Gonna edge off the lbs week by week, i reckon smaller portions and no more inbetweenies will help a lot,walking and hopefully some cycling will help, never been a jogger so that probably out, lol !

    I have been in a very stressfull job for almost a year now and the comfort eating has seen me balloon, i need to be in shape for my job, so the time is now !

    38yrs old so gonna get my skates on

    Thanks a lot Rachael, 1 week down and 4lbs gone , its an encouraging start, lots of hard work to go.
