Gherkins

On the slim and save info, it says we can have gherkins which happens to be one of my favourite foods

I'm assuming we can have the gherkins in jars, but does anyone know does it matter what they are in? Like are gherkins in vinegar ok?

I don't know, but I'll jump on the thread to find out! I tried my first ever (non maccy d's!) gerkin yesterday. I got them in vinegar, I don't know how else they come!

I have gherkins in vinegar all the time - make sure it doesn't have added sugar as some of the jars do xx enjoy xx

O sounds great. Once made pickled onions years ago (as a girl guide) ... Tasted so.much better than shop bought. Bet gherkins are better home made too.

mix gherkins chopped finely with parsley, mustard, capers and perhaps a bit of spring onion (cant eat white onion) and it makes a nice salsa verde, which is lovely with tuna. we serve it at my work (a foodie place) and I have it with my tuna salad, yum!

*edit* not actually sure if capers are ok, if youre not sure, skip them
