Goodbye everyone and thanks so much for support

Hiya to all CDers out there,

I just want to tell you all that I am now choosing to quit CD. I would love to be able to just do this as it is so amazingly effective but I either can't stick to it or when I do I get overwhelming depression.

I did SS 100% for 6 weeks and my mood was rock bottom. I am usually a very upbeat, bubbly and happy person too although I do get some down days.

I tried to do 810 or 1000 during summer but when I introduced food went off rails, so that didn't work either.

I have been on SS 100% for a week now and my mood has been getting worse and worse. At work today I could hardly even talk I felt so totally flat and heavy inside. So I had lunch and felt much happier. I have realised that much as I would like to do this it isn't for me. And this isn't the same as just cheating and saying this I actually took a decision for my state of mind.

I really admire all you people and I really do believe CD is fantastic and wish it didn't make me feel like that. Maybe I am just such a food addict that it even affects my mental health! but I'm hoping it is more of a physical reaction eg blood sugar or something.

Good luck everybody and thanks everyone for all your support since May.

I would especially like to thank KD who has always been there with fantastic encouragement and advice.

Love Broxi

Thanks for well wishes everyone. Just wish & hope I will find something that does get me thin. I think I've tried nearly all. I'll be giving JUDDD a try next so will let you know how I get on.

Awww Broxi I'll be sad to see you go. But it's true, CD is not for everyone. God knows it has been the hardest thing I have ever done, and seems to be getting harder as I near my goal.

Good luck with everything Broxi xx

Hiya and good luck with whatever you do! I have found in the past that Slimming World is the best diet if you like your food (like most of us do:rolleyes:) and I have lost well on it before but it doesn't have the instant results that CD does. Hope it goes well for you and you reach your goal soon :D

Hey Broxi - looking at your info, we started about the same time. So sorry this didn't work out for you as it has for me, BUT you've listened to your body/instinct and recognised that you can't sustain the low mood. That's a positive choice - having myself suffered serious depression in the past a low mood constantly is no fun, and is totally destructive. That's not going to help you when CD is so tough anyway.

Is it worth getting your blood sugars etc checked out to see if there's any underlying reason for the physical effects you have indicated?

Good luck with whatever way you find to achieve your weight loss goal XXX

 Broxi.. aawww... Love.. I should have been listening more closely.. if I'd really listened, I could have heard that you've been saying for a while that it's not been working for you recently.. it was.. for a while.. it's since Madeira really, isn't it? oooh.. I had no idea you'd been feeling so low... I'm here for you.. really, really I am... CD or no CD.. you're fab.. i'm sorry to hear you've been hurting.. I've been thinking of you as boyant, jolly, cheery.. full of beans (not literally! :) ).. I'm sure that's you much of the time..

What's JUDD? Does it involve staying on minimins? I do hope so... PM me.. let's catch up :)
