Someone else at work is dieting too, she's on slimming world and has lost 1 and a half stone, people keep telling her how amazing she looks, but haven't commented me on my loss not once. I know Ive got smaller, as Im wearing smaller clothes. Sometimes I just want to say 'Hello, Ive lost 2 stone!' It's a bit gutting. Sorry if I sound a bit brattish :(

I know how you feel, I've lost 45lbs and am wearing a smaller size but I guess it's not really showing that much yet. Maybe it just has to do with how much you need to lose overall - if you start out smaller than we did maybe the losses are visible sooner. Yesterday when I told her I was on a strict diet, bf's mum asked if it was working! She said she can't tell I've lost weight, and yet 45lbs seems a significant amount!

Keep doing the great job you've been and I'm sure it will soon become obvious to others too. Don't let them discourage you :) Ultimately, you're doing this for YOU and not THEM

keep going girls it definitely has to do with the beginning weight : when I was 150 I would lose 10 pounds and it showed, here for it to really show I had to lose 25. And I'm not even sure everyone will notice.

i know exactly what you mean chick... i feel like i have lost weight and most of my team at work know i am doing cd as they have seen my shakes and the fact i am not eating lol...
people have congratulated me on the losses as i have posted them on facebook and people have asked how i have got on but nobody has said they can tell i have lost anything....
the way i am looking at it is i would rather someone says it when they can actually tell and not just because it is what i am wanting to hear...
and i think that because they see me everyday the won't notice anything initially... i am waiting for my best mate to be off work for a week in august and hopefully she will notice when she comes back :)

No-one has said 'you've lost weight' to me, apart from my dear OH, but then he is so supportive he would say it anyway. I think it's because I normally am around the weight I am now, but earlier this year I had a course of medication which made me gain 20lb in a matter of weeks, and that's why I went back to CD [and have now lost it, also in a few weeks, yay]. A couple of people have said, 'you look really well', and remarked on my clothes looking nice and so on, which wasn't happening when I was heavier, so I suppose that's progress.

it could also be your clothes. if they are loose and a little baggy or tight people do notice. however, the unfortunate state is.... if you have more to loose people do not notice until you have lost a significant amount. one day it will twig and all or a sudden they'll go, wow have you been loosing weight. then you'll say how much and they'll be gobsmacked!

This is true, I was 375 lbs back during college in 2008, currently 247 and nobody would believe I weighed that much back then, I didn't get comments until I'd got under 20st either, different people have different perceptions! Well done on your loss!

People will start to notice in the end. I still think I can't tell my weight loss when I look in the mirror! Just bask in the compliments when they start to appear.... until then, just keep congratulating yourself on your losses and at the end of the day, you're doing this for yourself and not for everyone else. xx

It'll come, i've lost over two stone now and i'm only just starting to see it - i'm still in the same clothes size as well although everything has gone from tight to loose! If i wear my normal clothes it's hard to tell but i put on something more fitting today and i thought it was more noticeable.
