I've got everything crossed for you Linda, for all your problems to be resolved - having terrible trouble walking though!
Sadly the lottery ticket came to nothing. I don't often buy one, but wouldn't it have been wonderful if it had won?

I get my Quorn in Tesco or Iceland, it is the shaped chicken pieces that I get..... doesn't really taste of much but I add courgette, sweet pepper, mushroom, chilli, piri piri seasoning (and naughty I know) garlic salt and some of the chicken stock that is already made in a bottle by knorr, then I add some water and cook it in a frying pan until all the water has evaporated and the seasoning sticks to the stuff in the pan.

Fab News Linda -- On the prayer list!!! YEAH!!!

And the sun it out! :)

I hope you have a wonderful "it's nearly spring" day. The daffoldils are coming out around here. They are so cheerful.

We have daffodils coming out along the edges of the road here too...... definately looks very spring like out there, but freezing cold all the same.

So WI morning and I have lost ..... ta da... 1lb, one flippin lb, but since then I have been to the toilet and I am sure I would have weighed tons less if I had of been first, but had my breakfast and a big cup of coffee too in the meantime, so will log 1lb this week in the hope that I will have a big gigantic loss next week.

Had a late night last night, our neighbour whose little 17 month old girl twin died late last year due to hanging herself in a blind cord, her computer died, the hard drive died and she gave her hard drive to a neighbour to see if he could get her photos from it as they are all she has left of her little girl. He couldn't so brought it to us and DH managed to recover all her photos (but as we had the hard drive running, didn't want to stop to go to bed incase it didn't work again this morning) but we did salvage all her photographs and are now working on her files. I did go over to her this morning to let her know so that she could stop worrying and she was surprised we had it, but pleased that we had saved her photographs.

Having my hair done just after lunch, I normally have it done around every 8 weeks but have left it slightly longer this time as I cannot be bothered to go.... ha ha. Getting bored with it now but dont know what else to have done to it, so will probably have the same yet again.

Have a good day all xx

Yay, well done on the 1lb, which is probably 2 - 3 lbs now that you've 'been'

Such a sad story and so pleased that OH managed to salvage their precious photos of the little one. xxx

Wishing you a good day GE; well done on the loss and so glad you managed to save those photos, such a sad story.

So went to the hairdressers. Got there at appointment time and they sat me down and I waited 10 minutes, never had to wait before and I wondered if I had turned up on the wrong day (but tuesday is half price colour day so assumed I was right), they then came to tell me my stylist was going home as she was really unwell and either another stylist would do it or I could reschedule..... what? do you know how long I have put off having my hair done and it was driving me nuts, so said the other stylist could do it. Well I am so so so pleased with it, it is the same as normal but I think it looks much better, not sure why, but this stylist is slightly higher trained and costs slightly more but I didn't have to pay the extra as I should have had the cheaper stylist, but I am thinking I will definately ask this girl to do it in the future.... so so really pleased.

Plus I know I ramble, but here is a very bizarre story.

We bought a new washing machine Saturday as our one the bearings had gone and it had started shredding rubber that appeared in the drum, it was quite old too, so got a new one and put the old one on the drive to take to the dump once the excess water had drained out of it. My mum turned up earlier which she does every Tuesday and said I see you have finally replaced that washing machine..... note she saw the washing machine on the drive!! Well my sister rang and my daughter so I returned the calls and then went round my sisters literally round the corner to sort out her computer. I was gone 30 minutes... when I got home I looked on my drive and the magic washing machine fairy had taken my old washing machine...... someone had stolen it off my drive, not that I mind as it saves me a trip to the dump, but WTH? My neighbour came over after school and said 2 foreign guys had turned up in a beaten up old white transit and carted away my washing machine. He tried asking them if they were supposed to be doing that but they pretended they couldn't understand him and took the machine...... ha ha, how unbelievable is that!!!

Hahaha, bit of a result all round then GE. Beautiful hair and your machine being taken away and dumped for free :D some people will take absolutely anything. Not sure if it would have any scrap value but hey ho x

wish they come and take my old sofa away! ha ha...! maybe i shuld do that with the cooker too.
Glad you had a good hair day, I desp need a hair-cut am starting to look like Mrs Twit again
Yay for the loss too hun!!
x

LOL on the stolen washer Linda!

When there was a bin man strike in New York City, people would put their rubbish in shopping bags then casually set them down while waiting for bus, etc. -- and invariably they'd get stolen! ;)

I am glad you and your DH were able to help that poor mother. How heartbreaking that must be for them.

Post of pic of the new do!

MM

They must have been scrap men. I see than quite often when I'm working, they often have a musical horn on their vans, People put all sorts of stuff out on their drives for them to take so they must have thought you'd done the same!
There's quite a lot of value in scrap metal. We cleared my daughter's allotment a while ago and took a big trailer full of metal junk to the tip, they got £43.00 for it which has paid for 2 years rent!

Please about your hair do, wish I could find a hairdresser I liked! I've been chopping my own for a couple of years . (Now you know why I don't have a profile pic!!) x

Morning GE,

WIshing you a good day today hunny
Hope its a good one

Morning Linda,

The sun is out here... I hope it is shining on you and yours today, too.

I am thinking of you, your DH, daughter and her family, and your neighbour's on this first day of Lent. I feel that all of you have a given up so much, I can only hope that the rebalancing comes soon for you.

MM

Morning all, would you believe the scales have dropped that extra 1lb today, well slightly more actually so hopefully will show a good loss next week.... DH is working from home today as he has an interview this afternoon. He got an official letter from work yesterday informing him of a meeting on Friday where I think he will be told a definate redundancy date, so fingers crossed for todays or tomorrows interview....

Hope everyone has a good day xx

I've got it all crossed for you Linda and how fab that the scales have dropped some more :D:D:D

Hope you have a terrific Wednesday xxx

DHs interview went well, the guy has one more interview to do on Saturday and then he will decide next week and let them know. DH has another job interview tomorrow, this is the preferred job, so fingers crossed for that.

Something that was told to me today that knocked me for a while but I am over it now..... my ex Father in Law had a heart attack yesterday, I dont hold anything against any ex's (MIL FIL, Hubby) and just wish they would stop gossiping about me behind my back. This morning ex MIL was round daughters house to tell her and she said oh I dont mind your mum knowing but if she walks up to me in the street saying I am so sorry about Bill, my prayers are with you and him I will tell her that I dont want her prayers and that there are enough people praying for my bill thank you very much...... er.... we have been split for 13 years now, what is their problems..... why dont they just get over it!!!! Each of them is always having a go about me behind my back to my children, my son who lives here doesn't even see his dad regularly now because of this.

As DH will be home soon we are having an early dinner and then off to the cinema to watch The Unknown with Liam Neeson, mmmmm nice!!!

Have a good evening all xx
