I've got a longhaul flight coming up soon and wondered what meal option I should choose. Should I register as low fat or low carb?

I would pick neither and bring your own food, that's what I did on a trip to the US and along as you eat it all on the plane then you'll be fine at border control, although I still got stopped just to check.

To be honest those airplane meals no matter if low carb or low fat there's the bread roll, dessert, biscuits etc that go with it. If your planning on relaxing a little on plan whilst away I would prob go for low fat, if you want to stick to plan I would bring your own. I went to new York for 5 days & still lost 5lbs that week:)

If there's a gluten free choice that usually arrives as a chicken portion with potatoes and veg. I've never been long haul though so I don't know how many meals you'll be having on the flight.

I generally wait until the meal arrives & then swap OH's SW friendly items with none SW food.
