Hi everyone, firstly let me wish you all a Happy New Year, and secondly, let me introduce myself. I'm a 44 year old Mum to 2 boys (1 teen/1tot) and I have to confess, even though I've lost a little weight, it has been difficult. I've been overweight all my adult life (gosh some of the fabulous bikini photo's I have of myself when I was a 16 year old, make my adult self jealous *lol*) and never been able to just shift that weight. Like many of you, I've been on tons of diets, and nothing really helped. However this year, I found out my 5 year old, had Prader Willi Syndrome, a disorder which means he's permanently hungry amongst other problems he suffers, poor chap, so now I really do need to get on with it and show him that healthy eating and exercise is the *only* way to go if we all want a happy healthy life. My hubby is a showman (own's his own fairground) and I'll be totally honest, we'd just been eating rubbish whilst working unsocial hours. I've finally managed to get a grip, but hubby (who suffered a stroke last (nearly put 'this' then!) year) is also obese, and the whole family need reconditioning *lol*. I'm determined that I can get them on track if it's the only thing I manage this 2014. There's only our 17 year old whose nice and trim! But I really need to lose a whole one of him! *lol* Enough 'yapping', I'm really looking forward to finding new friends and support on this great board. Thanks for having me!
