Have we ever had...?

#1
Have we ever had something where we can vote for inspiration of the month?
I know chances are they wouldn't win anything but I just think there as some people on here that are so helpful and such an inspiration to others that they should be acknoledged ( I know my spellings bad!lol) for that.
What does everyone else think?

Great idea. I think the 'prize' of winning would be to see your friends posting lovely positive things on here about you. I have kept some print outs of the great comments I've had from people. Let's do it. Georgie is always really supportive and helpful she could be our first xx

I think it would be an idea if we got hold of one of the fine people who run this site and see if they could set something official up. Anyone know how we can do that?

My god moderators fighting over my idea...It was snowing here today but I didn't hear anything about it happening in hell to.
Nice to see the old grey matter is good for something other than memorising the husbands credit card number! LOL:D

Wish I had the gun to shoot my kitten at the moment. Just spent 15 minutes trying to flush him out of my next door neighbours garden in -2 tempratures with no coat on (he shouldn't be out aanyway even if it were warm)!
I'm now hugging my mug of peppermint tea like my life depends on it trying to warm myself up!
Bloody firball!!!

Okay, back to you now. After discussing this with the adminstrators, we feel that it wouldn't be good for the community here.

People share ideas and help each other because they want to, not to win awards. Besides it would always sway towards the bigger forums like Cambridge. A slimfaster (for example) could be a great inspiration to other slimfasters, but being a smaller board, they wouldn’t get the amount of votes. They could answer every slimfasters question and have lost more than others, but would be unlikely to ever win. It could end up hurting members and making them feel less valued.

Besides, I'd have an impossible time voting for the most helpful and inspirational poster. There’s just too many of them ;)

Nice idea in theory though :)
