I've joined weight watchers tonight after trying slimming world for 2 weeks. I just couldn't get on with slimming world, i'd get up each day and try but would slip up every time. I went to class last week as I am determined to lose this weight, but i'd gained 1.5lb. I tried again this week but i've found the sw plan a very unnatural plan to follow for me.

I checked the ww website for details of my nearest class for tonight and went along and joined up. I was so shocked at how different the ww meeting was to the sw meeting. It was far more enjoyable, and there was a meeting topic not just going around the class announcing losses or gains. I was amazed :)

I am really excited about getting started in the morning, sure this will wear off soon :D

I have a lot to lose, I weighed in at exactly 17 stone tonight and would like to get down to around 11 stone which is a nice size 14 for me, I will be happy there.

I look forward to getting to know you all. I have been lurking for ages so feel like I know most of you!

Good luck with it all, I am sure you will do well, just make sure you stick to your points and don't use too many on sweets and crisps etc.

If you can save some so you can be naughty without feeling guilty.

Hi there,

I started off at not much less than you and want to get to around the same weight.

It's a good feeling being in control and it doesn't always feel like a diet. In fact it's not really as it's a lifestyle change.

congrats on moving ww....youll never regret it!! im still here to years after starting but only bcause i have faffed about but its not a diet so everything i do, i want to keep up for the rest of my life, its a learning curve!!!

Day 1

Going well so far. I had 2 weetabix and skimmed milk, with granulated sweetener for breakfast, and just about to have my lunch.

This is so exciting. Doesn't take much to excite me :rolleyes:

I am going to have a good read through my books while I have my lunch. I got the starter pack and calculator from class so I have lots of info ready. I really feel positive!!!

Hi Helen,

I'm easily excited too. I got my new shopping guide and eating out guide and sat and read them that afternoon!

How did the rest of your day go?
