Hi everyone, I joined this site three years ago and managed to lose 5 stone. The main goal for this was because I wanted a tummy tuck after having my three children. I had the operation and was a great success however now three years later I have put the five stones back on and more! Therefore ruining my tummy tuck- waste of money!. I'm determined this time to lose weight and keep it off this time, and probably eventually have a mini tuck to correct the damage I caused. I started my healthy eating and exercise on 7th of May so will be now 13 days and I have lost 10lbs, so desperate to lose it feel so ashamed. X

Don't be ashamed Summer, you're in good and kind company here! Many of us have relapsed, and we are all but human sweetheart. Never giving in is the key :) never give in! x

Arrh thank you x Day 15 and I have since lost 10lbs. Suffering terribly though from pulled muscles at the minute! Thought it would be a clever idea to do 68 lengths at the swimming baths, and then proceed afterwards to paint my Nans bathroom straight after! Ouch! Could hardy move today, so no exercise today : (

Well done on the loss, that's fab! I should start the dreaded E word, but I've always hated it. I have a cross trainer sitting in my bedroom and its actually started calling me! Lol I may give it a go today. Esp as my scales stayed the same this morning :-(

Hey, sounds like you are really enthusiastic. That is a lot of lengths. I would worry I would run that enthusiasm out and start to slip.
I posed to someone else today, saying that fat and sugar are a bit like drugs. There is research to show sugar is addictive. It is soo hard to not eat it, its soo good. The sugar rush! also I noticed that if you stop with loads of sugar fat and carbs you get withdrawal.

don't feel ashamed, we all have had issues. I managed to get down to 13 stone last august, but then ate nearly 3 stone since. I use all sorts of excuses like well I was eating out with others, a birthday, peer pressure, But that would never wash with other addictions like cocaine would it lol

So you know you can do it, its so easy to fall into bad habits, and just relax. No point giving yourself a hard time, its done now but you have learnt from it? Do you know what went wrong? Maybe how you can avoid it again. I hate it if someone else says should you be eating that. Especially if they are stick thin lol But I'm sure you know your self best.
Someone had a suggestion of a third time lucky system for any food treats. I think its fantastic. Only having a small food treat. something you have really been wanting, that sausage role or cake, every 3rd week. The rest of the time behaving.

Do you not think supermarkets make it hard! with all the cheep multi packs of rubbish!
Half the battle is finding something you like for exercise. dancing? walking? gym? swimming? There are quite a few options these days.

Good luck :) let us know how you're getting on.

Thanks for replying ladies, I'm finding it a lot easier now I'm in to it. I agree sometimes getting motivated to do exercise is tough but u feel so much better afterwards and i think it does pay off, as I had a two pounds loss this morning since the day before! I know what you mean Firelass it's an addiction and no the supermarkets don't help with junk food always on promotion! I'm just hoping for 2 more lbs then I've lost a stone. I had a really nice dinner last night, I had oven baked salmon with lots of different kinds of veg, yum! I want to save some cals today though for my slim line gin and tonic later! Hope you ladies are ok today? X
