I am also getting married next year (September) but am doing calorie counting.
I am sure you will do great, and there is lots of support on here to keep you going, and lots of people to answer any questions you have :)

you shouldn't be starving!

That's sad and you won't be able to keep it forever. Why don't you try filling up with vegs? You could make a hotpot of carrots, courgettes, mushrooms, peppers, onions, garlic, lots of different spices, curcuma. It would help you with the "starvation" problem.

With time it'll get boring (this meal), but then you can vary by eating strawberries, for instance (low in cals). You can also try "frying" up courgette slices with pepper slices on low cal frying oil. Add lots of spices to make it more agreeable to the palate.

Mushrooms are healthy and very low in cals. You can always add some to your meal to make it more filling.
