Hi All,
I've just joined the forum and thought I'd introduce myself.
I am a work at home mum, with 3 beautiful daughters, aged 8, 5 and 2. I also have a wonderful husband who wants to slim down a bit in the new year, so will be supporting me on my weight loss journey. Completing my household are 2 lazy but precious British Shorthair Cats, named Twinkle and Tinkerbell.
After having my DD1 in 2003, I simply could not shift the weight, so I joined WeightWatchers in 2005 after going on holiday in to South Africa in 2004 and seeing the photos when we returned! I did really well and was down to a size 10/12 clothing, at which point I fell pg with DD2 and managed to lose the baby weight very quickly after that and was back in my size pre-pregnancy clothes within 6 months of her being born in 2006. During my 3rd pregnancy, though, I had pelvic problems and then pulled a muscle in my back, so couldn't really move around much and the weight just piled on (she was a very healthy 10lb 1oz at birth!) and I've not been able to shift it since then. I must add that my other 2 were quite big (8lb 14oz and 9lb 7oz), so that was no excuse for the excess weight with DD3
.
I've tried Slimming World, but just got nowhere, although I did like the recipes in their magazines, to which I still have a subscription.
I will be joining WeightWatchers again on 3 January, once all the festivities are over and I have a weight loss goal of 12kg in 2012 as I want to get down to my pre-pregnancy weight of 2005!
Happy New Year to everyone!
