Hello, I'm new here and I have a question

Hello,
I've been lurking for the last week and I've finally decided to join.
You all seem really friendly and knowledgable.

I started slimming world last friday. I'm not doing the classes. I got the pack from Ebay. SO far so good, except I ate out at Frankie & Bennys on Monday :sigh: (I love that place)

I want to loose about 3 stone. I did lose loads on the atkins but I felt awful all of the time and put the weight back on.
I'm really enjoying this diet. I feel like I eating loads though!!!

I've got a couple of questions if that is ok.

Can I choose 2 of the same items from Hex b?
E.g Can I have 2 lots of chicken instead of one portion of chicken and then something else?

I seem to be having more green days. Is this ok or should I try and vary green and red more often?

Also I feel I'm eating to much.
This is what I have eaten today

Breakfast: Alpen bar (3 syns)

Snack: 2 quorn sausages (free) & Penguin (5 1/2 Syns)

Lunch: Moussaka made with quorn mince (all free)

Snack: 2 bananas and milk (Hex a)

Snack: Wedge of Pasta Quiche (free)

Dinner: stir Fry with chicken (hex b) noodles and veg.

Does this seem ok or too much
I do eat a lot

Ok firstly welcome to the forum and SW.

Yes you can have 2 of the same thing for your HE's. The Alpen bar, was that an Alpen light? If it was you can have 2 of those as 1 HE B.

The beauty of SW is that you can eat loads as long as you are eating the right stuff so eat and enjoy!

Hiya Tiggs, I got started on SW last week using my old books too. I keep lurking on ebay looking at the updated books on there but I reckon I'll just go to a meeting in the new year to pick them up cheaper lol

Know the feeling about thinking you're eating too much on SW, you'll get used to it after a few weeks settling down to it and seeing your losses :)

Oh and about your green days and red days - you could have all green days if you wanted, as some people are veggies so the option is needed lol I don't think you can have all red days though.

Some people might find all green days might slow their losses down at first if your body is not used to having as many carbs - so long as you drink plenty of fluids it should balance out after a couple of weeks.

welcome XXX i regulary have four mini slices of toast as my 2 hex b's on a red day i stick bacon in hehe. Good luck with things!!!

I eat 6 red days a week and have 1 green and this works for me...I have also had all 7 days as a Red....its whatever works best for you Hun.

Welcome and good luck with your journey...I'm rediscovering foods as well!!

Thanks for your warm welcome peeps.
Erm, I feel off the wagon again yesterday.

We had a Nativity play at work and the place was crawling with Mince pies and chocolates!!! I couldn't say no :sigh:

Then when I got home I had some pizza and garlic dough balls.
My stomach relly hurts today!!
Oh well back on it today!!!
I'm gonna have a green day today.
I'm gonna be good all week as I have christmas meals next weekend.
Christmas is such a crap time to diet!!!

Wonder, I am a sad 30 year old who collects Tiggers.
I have over 50 of them dotted around my flat :eek:

ahhh bless sometimes we have to spoil ourselves otherwise we wont get through a diet!!! i must say ive had to teach myself to resist at work i often take the bits people bring in then save them and eat them when i have syns to use and this works for me i also have re-started going to the gym and when i ate naughty foods i go to the gym to feel better lol

good luck with the diet
i always have green days cant manage red days not sure why but if you look at my losses they are nice and steady and i still go out and party every week haha

Cool! I love Tigger too used to ready Winnie the Pooh books all the time as a kid. I even know the Tigger song off by heart - now that's sad!

Don't worry, we all fall off the wagon from time-to-time. The most important thing is to get back on, which you've done, but yeah... dieting a Xmas sucks :sigh:

Yes it would be cheaper than ebay. Last time I looked the only up to date books were going for over £26! Also, if you get them from group you will have the plan explained properly to you
