Hi I am new to this site, I stopped smoking last bonfire night and since then have managed to put a stone and a half on!!! I wasn't slim to start with...but...my weight had been stable a couple of pounds either way for over 20 years. I have decided to follow a healthy eating regime. My weakness is bread and crisps so they.... Along with the cigarettes are banned from my home. Fortunately I live alone (well with my 2 dogs) so this doesn't affect anyone else. I am aiming to lose the weight slowly, I don't want to become a yo yo dieter and I don't really fancy following a specific diet plan. I feel that I just need to be sensible. I can't do much in the way of exercise due to suffering from spinal disc disease, a prolapsed disc and bilateral stenosis in my neck! My Neurologist believes I may also have fibromyalgia.... Just waiting for results of tests I had taken before Christmas. I am quite determined to shift this weight but thought that I would be able to gain and offer support through this site.
