i have gone out but it depends really where you go. I went to like a standard pub like 2 for a tenner. And you will be shocked to find theres hardly anything healthy unless you start asking for no this, and no sauce. I find the best food to get is the simple stuff like a roast dinner. You cant really go wrong because you know how the veg and chicken is done and just take the skin off the chicken. But places where its covered in sauce like chinese, you wont know so id stay clear.
I think also places like Nando's is perfect as the chicken is bbq'd and the savoury rice is free. Also i found some indian dishes such as Jalfrezi is low. Aslong as you ask at a place that will accommodate your needs
