Help for my mum

    My mum is a Slimming World member and recently got her 2.5 stone award, but she is really struggling at the moment and I don't know how to help her. Her weight loss has slowed down a lot recently and she had a 3.5 pound gain in the last week. She is definitely following the plan, plus she has very few syns and gets loads of exercise (up to 3 hours every day). Neither of us can understand where the weight has come from. She is becoming very depressed and I'm worried she might do something drastic. Is there any advice I can give her?

    Diet:
    Calorie counting/low carb(following SW principles where possible)
    Firstly she should perhaps speak to her consultant, maybe filling in a food diary? Maybe have all her syns, especially if she's doing that much exercise, she might not be eating enough! Hope she's ok soon

    Yes i agree. Food diary for a week including exercise and show it to her consultant. Sounds like she's eating a bit less than she should be.

    Also if she is near target it might be just slowing down x

    You must do a food diary to show your consultant, then have at least 5 syns per day up to a max of 15 a day. I found that exercise = inches off not weight loss!Try to write a weekly menu then only buy those ingredients, eat well, a lot of people think that they should have a little food as they are trying to loose weight but on SW it's the opposite!

    Yes, I found from doing SW a few years ago,that you have to eat your sins and the less i ate the less i lost
