help how do i get rid of the msn virus

hi, ive read that some of you have had the msn virus, my neice has got it on her laptop and ive spent hours trying to get rid of it with no joy, ive downloaded the link in the other thread but that doesnt pick it up and avg hasnt picked it up either, i know she has got it as everytime she signs on she sends me the link to it.

has anyone had this virus and managed to get rid of it, if so please let me know how you did it

Or you could follow the symantec website removal system which to be honest I would say is probably more reliable
