I agree, see if you can check out the menu first.

You can go for
- Steak and jacket potato with a salad (make sure you ask for any dressing to be on the side)
- jacket potato with beans and salad (no butter)
- If they have a vegatarian pasta in a tomato sauce that should be not too bad
- Salmon with new pots and veggies (if it comes with a sauce ask for on side or without)
- Curry dishes but only the tomato based ones and avoid naan breads!!
