Hi guys, I am so upset with myself. I lost 3 lb on my first week so I did pretty good..however, this week I have been so awful it is untrue. I know I only have myself to blame but I can't for the life of me think what has come over me.. I have eaten absolutely everything I shouldn't this week, once I started I just couldn't stop, I didn't even enjoy it, I just kept eating.. I have put on nearly half a stone :cry:

I just feel that it is useless and that I will never lose any weight...I feel like a whale..honestly I just cant motivate myself to eat properly and stop stuffing my face :( Even though I am prone to eating large portion sizes I have always been a healthy eater and love my veggies etc.. I have never in my life had a week were I have been this horrendous with food.. I just don't know what's going on?:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

oh, carly, sorry to hear that hun :(

we all have bad weeks now and again.
what program (hate the word diet) are you following?
if it's one based on willpower alone, perhaps considering an alternative which isn't so much could help?

Of course, I know all diets (eugh) require willpower to a degree, but some much more than others I think; as I've said before, I feel that being on my VLCD requires very little willpower (as you are rarely even slightly hungry) when compared to something like WW where you have to constantly force yourself to eat only the healthier stuff - that's why I have such respect for those who do it.

I hope you feel better Carly, like Kunster said, dust yourself off, use this week as a constant reminder to keep your head in the right place, and start afresh.

Hi Carly,
There's bound to be some underlying emotional reason for why you are sabotaging yourself.
Which way are you trying to lose weight?
What's your motivation/reason for particularly wanting to dpo it now?
Have you got anyone to give you emotional support?
I've tried loads of different ways to lose weight over the years. Lighter Life is the only one that has worked for me.
It's notjust a diet. You re-evaluate your whle relatioonship with food and why you became overweight in the firsr place.
I agree with Pete. You'll be able to do it when your heard is in the right place.
