Hi all

I am starting SS on Monday after buying 3 weeks supply from a friend who has given up. Can someone PLEASE answer a quick few questions .............

How many sachets do I have ?
(I am 5ft 7 and just over 17 stone )

Do I need whisk to blend ?

Is it possible to buy a info book as I only have the sachets and NO INFO at all.

Any help or advice would be very welcome x

Hi there,

It's really not recommended that you do this diet without the support of a consultant - I get that you have a three week supply and obviously you don't want to buy more while you still have loads, but you could contact one and maybe explain the situation and just buy a few products from the consultant that you could supplement with the supply you already have. I don't think it's possible to buy the info book without a consultant. That way you get the proper guidance and the booklet and everything else, but don't have to buy another week's worth of packs straight away.

Also, a consultant will screen you for any health issues that might make Cambridge Weight Plan unsafe for you to do, which is obviously very important.

I'm guessing you're female, so you'll have 3 packs a day. Men and women 5'8'' and over have 4 per day. The packets themselves should have instructions on how to make them up.

Thanks for the response
I know my health is ok as Ive just had several basic blood tests for Diabetes etc and they all came back all clear.
I will maybe email a few consultants for advice and if they respond that will be a good indication of which one I should use when I buy my packs.
Thanks again x

Hi

Blimey - going it alone - well, I guess you have us :) but I've never heard of anyone doing the cambridge weight plan without a consultant, and the consultants are usually really thorough at the beginning and throughout your journey -
they would usually check loads of details and help you decide which programme to be on - for example, I'm having four packs a day plus some low fat yoghurt. Some people just shouldn't be on just 3 packs a day (eg if you're tall).
I had to get my GP's signature before I was allowed to start because I'm on metformin.

You might want to check out the cambridge website as well:

Cambridge Weight Plan: Programmes (6 Steps)

I get the impression it's really not recommended to go it alone - and if you do experience any problems you'll need to talk to someone...

I'm glad you've eailed some folk - they tend to reply pretty quickly so you should have a CDC this week - perhaps you want to use these packs to 'wind down' into it perhaps?

All the best

xx

Make sure you drink plenty of water as that's the key to avoid possible side effects (headaches etc). You might also fine if you blend your shakes with ice it makes them thicker and fills you up more :)

Thankfully I love water so It shouldn't be a problem for me. 2 ltr today so far and have another 2ltr bottle at the side of me to drink before 8pm is my goal. I don't want to leave it till late as I have been up and down all day. If I don't lose weight due to the plan I will for the amount of times I am up n down stairs the lol x
