Help - Trying to find a recipe from a couple of years ago- Chinese Pork or something

I am not sure if it was on here or another board but I remember having a recipe for doing pork shoulder in the slow cooker which was great but can not track it down so wondering if anyone can help. I don't think it was called "chinese" pork but it could have been. This was about 2 or 3 years ago.

You marinated the pork in a mixture of spices which included Star Anise and a Cinnamon Stick, I can not remember anything else specifically.

Does this ring a bell with anyone?
