Hi there Hopefull,
Its a bit difficult to comment without knowing a bit more
how long have you been doing LL?
how much do you still need to lose?
how much did you lose last week?
have you been exercising eccessively?
are you drinking your water every day?
1.5lbs is still a decent amount of weight, you just have to hold a bag of sugar to feel the weight!! Keep at it and it'll average itself out (normally to about 3.5lbs a week) If you're losing about a stone a month I wouldn't worry too much about your weekly losses, I know that seems easier said than done but you've already lost 20lbs so you're well on your way. Stick with it. x
Did your LLC tell you that? - Maybe what she meant was that usually you will be losing more - i.e a general comment rather than a specific one aimed at something you have or have not done. - She may just have been speaking what she was thinking that generally people do lose more than that.
Does that make sense? Very hard to write down to make it intelligible!
Oh honey, we all had a rough meeting last night, didn't we?
I did not get the impression she was being critical of you, i think she was worried about how you were feeling in light of how things were last week.
If you look at my ticker I have not been losing quickly either. So long as it is going down though I feel fine about it. Honestly, don't feel so troubled. You have enough to deal with without putting more pressure in yourself.
Stay strong and take each day one at a time.
You know that you need to drink more water - remember the more you drink the more you shrink. I need to drink more too.
Lemma is right... my second week (14 stone to lose I had then!!) I only lost 2lbs and in other weeks since then it has happened, it's just your body doing the job it's own way! We'd all love to have massive losses each week but it really isn't gonna happen so I'm guessing your LL wasn't meaning it personal to you. Keep your chin up and the weight will come off... that I can vouch for
Hopefull to be honest I work on the fact that I'm going to lose what my body wants me to lose - as long as I know I'm not cheating and that I'm doing the diet as it should be done then I'm going to lose but I'm going to lose at a rate that is hopefully good and right for my body.
I've had some great losses and some not so very good ones at all - but I am losing .... I don't think it does us or anyone else any good to compare ourselves as we are only really going to end up feeling disappointed by it ---- so tell whoever it is that says you should be losing more that your body is losing all it can when it can.
Thanks so much for your help, I felt much better . Hope you are having a better week, everthing will sort itself out, it always does. My dad rang today, and i actually ended up laughing down the phone to him. What a breakthrough, he was in a good mood though. See you soon. Ruth
