Here we go!!!

    Hi Everyone!!!

    Not quite sure how this is going to work but it will fill some of the time up that I am supposed to spend working...woops!!! lol

    So I went to Slimming World on Monday evening for the first time, registered and got weighed (OMG!!!!) and off to asda I went ready for the start of the diet on Tuesday. So the first day went well, made syn free spaghetti bolognese (from the SW website) ate my healthy A and B options and pleanty of free food.

    Today..... struggling a little because I am craving chocolate and feeling a little fed up! I have just had a "hi-fi deluxe" bar though so hopefully that will curb my chocolate cravings for a few days!! Feeling a bit pants though, craving chocolate after only 1 day on the diet doesnt look too good but hopefully things will pick up a bit. Brought Zumba for the wii so gonna give that a bash tomorrow I think after work and see what happens.

    Not sure what's for dinner tonight as the OH is cooking so hopefully he will not do something too syn-tastic as Ive already had 10 thanks to my snack-a-jacks and hi-fi bar!!

    Anyways we will see who responds to this, any fellow SW people who have just started etc would be amazing!!

    Ok, welcome to SW!

    Firstly, get it out of your head that you are on "a diet". You arent. You have changed your way of eating. That doesnt mean you have to deprive yourself entirely of the things you enjoy. You can still have chocolate, just count it in your syns!

    This is not a diet that sets out to punish you for your former eating habits. You can still enjoy all the things you love, just with more moderation than you were used to.

    Make sure you use your syns, thats why we have them!

    Remember, you can have more chocolate tomorrow, and if you are desperate, a hot chocolate such as options or highlights is reasonably low syn and can be a great chocolate fix!

    You can also get a low syn chocolate fix by having a curly wurly (6 syns) or Mikado sticks (0.5 syns each). If you are craving something then eat a bit of it. Don't torture yourself!!

    Its also worth trying to keep most of your syns for the evening. I don't tend to eat any during the day so i can have them all at night - and i do!!

    Also - educate the OH so you aren't worrying about what he's cooking ( fair play on getting him to do that - i have one you can train for me if you fancy it :))

    hiya i am new to sw too - been to 2 weigh ins but still consider myself a newbie in terms of getting used to all the syns, free foods etc. I tend to keep my sins for night too and usually have a curly wurly that has been in the freezer or a creme egg (8.5) sys...i have been told to have 10 syns today which i sometimes feel limited but only on a on off day. Enjoying it all so far, just need to remember to eat more superfoods - good luck x

    Calorie counting/low carb(following SW principles where possible)
    Who has told you to have 10 syns today-surely you are the only one who can't decide how many you have from your 5-15 a day :)
