Hi all!

#1
Hey everyone,
Only just stumbled across this site and i really wish I'd found it sooner!
Anyway, here's a bit about me and my journey so far:
My name is Kat, I'm 26 years old from
Essex, I have a lovely hubby named Ross and gave birth to my precious son Joshua on 25th September.
Then my best friend got engaged and decided not only did she want me to be maid of honour but the wedding is this August - eeek! So that meant I needed to lose the baby weight and a lot more fast!
I started with mainly calorie counting and exercise. When I first stepped on the scales I was 13 st 10. I managed to get this down to 12 st but then got stuck, and fed up. That's when I discovered Atkins and I love it! I've been on it for about a month now on Induction. I'm finding myself a bit stuck at 11 st 3 but I'm sticking with it as I know it works and I feel so much better for being on it. My goal weight is 10 st, although it's beginning to feel like I'll never get under 11 st!
Sorry for rambling, but looking forward to getting to know you all
Kat

Hey Kat,

Great to hear from you. You sound like you have done amazing. I am only new to induction, but having looked around here you may be on a plateau. There are loads of recipes in the stickies to introduce a variety or help you kick-start your weight loss again, or Dr Atkins suggested a fat fast and it sound like it is designed to be a kick start to weightloss. I have too much to lose at the mo, but if I ever get stuck, I am turning to this kick-starter. If you google 'fat fast and atkins' you will get information about it. It does look very extreme, but I do know how you are feeling. My sister got married last year and although I was 4 stone lighter, I had put on 1.5 stones since I was measured so the stress was on to get into the dress and look fab. Sadly I didn't do it as I was messing around with vLCD. This time around it is Atkins all the way....;D

Hope I have been of some help? Keep going this is truly amazing xxx

Hey,
Thankyou I will definitely look into that!
I think what I've got to bear in mind is that the last stone is going to be tough to lose, and it's going to come away very slowly.
I've got a hen weekend this weekend and I'm really hoping not to stray too much! I've bought some Atkins bars to take for emergencies, the good thing is that dinner is a buffet so should be able to make some good choices there.
Got weekly weigh in on my biggest loser wii game today - eeeek! Official weigh in is on Monday
Xxx
