    Hi everyone... newbie here!

I'm Sam... I've never really been a dieter despite always being what people kindly refer to as "a big girl". In the last couple of years I've put on a bit more weight and got less fit and have come to the conclusion that I don't want this gradual weight gain and loss of fitness to continue any further! So, I've joined WW (with my other half) and started doing a bit more exercise and set myself a goal for the end of the year.

I've lost just over a stone so far, it's been coming off fairly slowly which I know is good but can sometimes be a bit disheartening :( so thought I'd join and hopefully be able to find some encouragement and offer some to others aswell!

Hi HappyP, Welcome to this fab forum, you have come to the best place for support and encouragement.

Well done on your loss so far, seems like you have it well sussed and as you have your partner along with you - all the better.

Do hope you set up your own diary as we will then be able to contact you for that extra bit of advice etc, and get to know you better as well.

Keep up the good work and all the very best to you and your OH.....:)

Thanks for the welcome :). I think a diary would be helpful for keeping me on track, I'll definitely have a go setting one up!

Hi Sam ... Good for you in taking the plunge. I'm doing WW with my Hubby too... I've only been with them a week but lost nearly 6 stone so far on other plans...only another 7 to go :sigh: however I applaud you for taking the reigns now...my one regret in life is not taking charge a lot earlier. Stay happy !

Thanks Gem, and good luck to you and your husband with the weight loss, you sound like you've done really well so far! Unfortunately we can't change the choices we've made in the past but with a bit of luck we can try and have healthier futures! :)
