Hi i`m back again lol

Roch I had to post and say that under the Patient Charter you are entitled to be seen if it is a really emergency! If you are unable to get out of the house they must come and see you at home....if I remember rightly don't you live in hosptal grounds? Your surrounded by doctors! Phone NHS direct or follow the online questionaire and see what it says to do. If the doctors insist they can't see you phone an ambulance! go to A&E maybe they'll listen then. Don't just sit at home feeling sorry for yourself do something. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh but I've been there Roch not being able to get out of the house, feeling so low and at my wits end. I've been to hell and back over the last 18 months more than you know but I've picked myself up and can honestly say I FEEL FAB! for the first time in ages. So sending you some positive vibes.....now get on that phone!

Boy do I wish I could help you Roch!! You help so many other people on here but somehow we can't seem to get this sorted.

I agree with those above that you should call NHS Direct and demand help, this needs sorting and you need people to help you.

Roch - I'm so sorry you're in such pain. I really think you should try accupuncture. I've just done my back in again and have had to go back to my accupuncturist for further treatment. I don't know how it works, but it really, really does!

I agree with everyone else - you must make sure that your health professionals take you seriously and help you out of this horrid predicament. Shy bairns get nowt, as they say up here!

I don't know who your gp is, but I used to go to Bounds Green Group practice and they were fantastic! It might be worth changing to them??

Hope you get some relief soon, hun.

I must agree with Isobel here, I had severe problems with my sciatic nerve and it was completely cured by acupuncture. The needles are relatively painless, especially when compared with the agony of back spasms. It took six sessions to change me from a virtual cripple to a fully active person (dancing, high kicks, the lot).

Hi Roch,
Ann (Westhills) has given you such good advice, isn't she great?! Please, please let us all know soon that you are getting some proper help. I hate to think of you struggling this way.
Ann, you rock! (And I've never ever said that in a post before!) Your genuine concern and compassion just shine through. As do yours Roch, when you're supporting other people, so try and be as good to yourself as you are to everyone else! Okay?!?! (Sorry to sound bossy, don't mean to!)

WOW !!
Thankyou all so much for all your support.Well had a rough night and have just decided to come online while Aaron is eating breaky then going back to bed but cant manage to sit her at pc 4 two long.

Ann thanx for the the info on Toast have checked it out and will be in touch with them.

Thanks again all of u for all your caring messages and support really nice 2 know that peeps honstly really care as i feel very alone alot of the time as over the years i have cut myself off from so many people for many reasons, one of them being is i dont want 2 socialise becuase of the way i look and unfortunately the second is that becuase people have taken liberties with me so many times as i go out of my way to help friends/partner that in the past i had "MUG" written in caps over my forehead i think they thought that because of my size and they way i looked i should of been grateful for their friendship//relationship, (ex partner who when seperated from me referrred to me as a 400 pound beach whale) and they could take the pi-s out of my kindness and that has happend to me 2 many times and has knocked my self confidence so low !!

I am ok have been through this b4 on quite a few occasions and have managed so pls dont worry its nothing that is a serious health risk just very painful, and i will get through it this time as well but this time it just seems to be taking longer.
Take care and thanx xx

Hiya Roch - how are you doing today????

Hope you are feeling better and stronger today.

Just been reading Ann's comments (isn't she a lovely lady??) and she is so right - you should NOT have to suffer.

As far as shutting yourself away from people because of the way they've treated you - that made me so sad. Whenever you post on here it is full of compassion and understanding for others and you shine through as a lovely person. Size should not matter - and to your friends on here it doesn't.

Take care special lady.

Oh Roch hun, I do hope you start to feel better soon, I can only echo what the lovely Ann has said, you must get help and demand it if need be!! (I understand your reluctance to kick up a fuss and draw attention to yourself -- we've all been there) but hun don't suffer needlessly, I am soo worried about you please ring the gp surgery and demand a home visit, you are entitled to the same level of care as anyone and deserve to feel better!

Get well soon babe, (((HUGS))) xx

Have you telephoned the surgery Roch? You seem to have a good relationship with your GP from what you've said before.

Gosh i am what lucky lady 2 have so may peeps caring about me "thanks from the bottom of my heart"

Well today the pain seems to have eased up as the day has gone by.Usually my sciatica starts playing up mid cycle and then usually eases by the time Totm arrives and Totm arrived yesterday but yesterday was a terrible day for me.

Have managed to do a bit today and only took 6 pain killers instead of 8/10 so thats a def improvement for me.
Will def be in touch with my doc tomorrow after surgery and insist she either comes out(which is not very likely to happen) or she prescribes me different meds to help the Sciatica not to just control the pain which did not work.I will also book an app with her for next week hopefully will be up to going.

I really appreciate all the support u all have shown me, thanks, take care and have a good night xx

Please to hear your feeling a bit better this evening Roch, I really hope that the doc can help you tomorrow.:)

Hope you get a good nights rest. Even if tomorrow you feel a bit better again I would 'lay it on thick' to the doc and insist that you are helped....know what I mean;)

Love

Hi Roch, glad your feeling better today, you know years ago there was alway's a doctor willing to make home visits, no matter who you were or what was wrong, it's such a shame that's all changed now

Hi Roch, I'm glad to hear you're getting better, and also that you are feeling so positive. Even when the pain was very bad you were posting that it would pass eventually.

I am calorie counting to lose weight having decided that LL/CD just wasn't right for me. And you do lose a lot of weight in the early months, and you start to feel better quite soon - though it creeps up on you. I was out at the weekend washing my car and it was easy to get down and clean the wheels, whereas a few months ago it was a job I dreaded doing. I've read that you are supposed to aim to lose 10% of your body weight in the first 3 months, it's achievable and it produces measurable clinical benefit - and that is all true!

Sorry to waffle on about myself but just trying to share and say that everything is about to get a lot better for you very soon and that is a great thing which you well deserve. Lots of people (lurkers) have read your posts and our thoughts are with you, good luck and you go girl.

Morning everyone, thanks thanks and thanks again for all your kind messages.
Well my back is still breaking at the moment and feeling like crap, it did ease up yesterday a bit but i think it was because i had some Feminax painkillers to help with Totm pain as i have cysts in my tubes which are so painfull with Totm and i think those extra painkillers helped with the back ache.
Well am waiting till 1.30 till docs surgery finishes to speak to my doc am so desperate to get some help i cant manage like this over the weekend.

Poor Aaron has had to do almost everything for me the washing and the cleaning and eating take aways and convenience food as i cant manage to cook also my best friend comes in every other day to help me as well thank god.

Well was on pc for far 2 long yesterday got caught up with tsome things happeneing here on the site and i am oaying for it bug time today with my back, so am logging off fir a bit and going to lie down as when i am in bed i dont have hardly any pain.
Take care hope u all have a good day xxx
