Hi, newbie, and unsure!

Wow Crazybrit, that's really interesting information.
Feeling a bit defeated because ive just scoffed a load of leftover xmas chocolate, guess i'm going to be craving more suger again soon then eh?

What is your take on artificial sweetners? I do tend to use a lot in hot drinks
 
Artificial sweetners don't have the same effect, because they're chemically very different from refined cane sugar.

Alas, sugar's an all or nothing thing when you're starting out on losing weight and trying to shed that sweet tooth. You'll eventually find that you can have one or two little chocolates without suddenly wanting to eat a whole tub of Celebrations, because your urge for sweet things simply dies down and your so-called "sweet tooth" disappears.
 
Ah, makes perfect sense to me....i did a vlcd for quite a few months and as soon as i tasted chocolate again i didn't have the same satisfaction i had prior....kind of tasted 'too' sweet and artificial, so i didn't touch it again for weeks.

Why oh why did i feed the beast over xmas?! Now choccy tastes so gooooood!
No point moaning about it though....best get on with the task at hand.
