Hi there everyone!

Just thought I'd say a wee hello to all the awesome people on here!

I've joined up so I can get (and hopefully give!) some extra motivation for losing weight :). I've only just started losing weight but I'm seeing big changes (8 pounds in 3 weeks!), all through getting off my lazy bum and exercising , seeing a personal trainer and eating a bit more healthy.

So far its tough , especially not drinking as much alcohol as being a student a lot of my social life revolves around drink! But I'm sure that I'll pull through. Can't wait to show off my success and see all everyone on here's success as well :).

Hi!

Have you tried just ordering a diet coke or something in the bars? You could 'pretend' to your friends that it has vodka or something in it to save face. You could also opt out of buying rounds to save on the obligation on having to drink the actual vodka and coke that your friends buy for you.

Have you joined any diet plans such as Slimming World or Weight Watchers?

And that's a great idea Princesslou! I normally just have one drink then avoid the bar all night, I've also resorted to taking a gin bottle full of water to parties! Luckily my friends get drunk quite quickly so they don't notice that I'm not quite as merry as them :p

I'm not on slimming world or anything like that, though they do look good! I normally just eat 3 meals a day and I keep a food diary that I show to my PT when I see her and she helps me out. Its more about not being lazy and making nice yummy healthy food!
 
Hi!!

I'm not a big drinker myself and sick of getting asked "Ohh, is there a reason you aren't drinking?" or "Come onnnn, one won't hurt." so it was just easier to pretend so to speak.

I get what what you mean about being lazy and healthy choices. Quite often a PT can be just as helpful as weight loss groups.
