    So, alot of the time my boyfriend and i like to have lunch out. Just because we can. This is either one of two places;

    Pizza hut buffet OR morrisons cafe.

    Now, at the pizza hut buffet, i know that i can use the salad bar. Fill myself up on stuff that isnt REALLY bad for me and thats okay. Also, when we go to morrisons i make use of the "salad bar" instead of eating something that the cafe.

    What i want to know is, how the hell am i meant to guess at how many calories this all is?

    I mean, at pizza hut, i can have X amount of Cous cous with lots of leafyness, a spoon of pasta, carrots and some sauce of some sort. And i usually count this as around 400 calories. But i dont know!

    How do you guys cope with this?

    My solution was learning to make it all myself. I've learned to make homemade pizza, chinese food, baked doughnuts, etc. Even if you're planning on having a treat at least you know what's in it. :D

    Here you go:

    Nutritional Information - Pizza Hut

    Moggies say they'll soon be introducing that info, here:

    "FAQ - Can you provide calorie/fat content for café meals?

    At Morrisons we are very aware how important nutritional information is to our customers and because of this, we will shortly be introducing nutritional data for our café meals. All our cakes have calorie information featured at the point of purchase and a number of our cafés are already trialling Café Deli menus, which include calories featured as part of the menu. In the very near future we hope to have all our café meals accompanied by the relevant information so our customers can see exactly what they are ordering."

    Can't hurt to drop them a line and say you want to know, maybe?

    Most places have a nutritional info page, especially the chains, and I cope with it by not going anywhere that doesn't, at least right now - I'll change that when I get to maintenance maybe.

    If you type the name of the restaurant plus the word calories into Google, you'll usually get good results - Wetherspoons are very good for this, bless 'em! :)

    Generally that'll be able to give you a close enough estimate on what you are eating. I suppose it's a bit of a pain putting each bit of salad in individually but it remembers what you've had so in the future you just tick the boxes of the stuff you ate last time.
