How easy is it to eat in restaurants etc on WW?

    I've done SW on and off for years with limited commitment but I'm feeling motivated and I'm about to join to WW. :D One thing I disliked about SW was that it was difficult to grab a sandwich and work out syns/Healthy extras when out and about. How easy is it on WW?

    For example, tonight I am going to an independent Italian restaurant for dinner, is it possible to work out points or am I guessing like I would have done on SW?

    Hi Hun

    My husband is taking me out tonight for an Indian and I've just been looking at my WW eat out book for the best options.
    I used to do SW too and found eating out was always a problem unless of course you had jacket potato and beans (urghh the thought of it now makes me sick lol) or steak and jacket alone.

    Since doing WW I have found it abit easier to eat out. Like you say grabbing a sandwich or something or going out for pub lunches etc is pretty good.

    If I'm doing filling & healthy I tend to stick with things like steak, gammon or chicken with salad and jacket potato or vegetables.
    Or carvery is a good choice too.
    This week I'm counting ProPoints so I've kept myself low in ProPoints throughout the day then allowing myself quite a few ProPoints for my curry later.
    I'm pleased to see that my favourite curry is less ProPoints than the one which was low on SW too lol!!

    I highly recommend the eat out book Hun if you go out regular for meals as I'm always using it.

    Love things like subway, Starbucks, carvery and Chinese and Indian and now having my book for easy access is great.

    Where are you going and I will see if its in my book for you?

    Here are some of the takeaway / restaurant meals I have had since doing WW and always lost weight the weeks I had them :)
    as you can tell from the photos we do like a nice treat every once in a while lol. We do eat out or get a takeaway at least once a week to every two weeks xxx

    The WW eat out book has basic guides for restaurants as well as popular chains too. It is a great little book and I recommend it :) xxx

    You sure can Hun. The meetings sell tons of goodies from books, foods, snacks, cookbooks, scales, calculates, meat marinades, magazines and much more.

    The eat out book is £4.95 alone or you can buy the ProPoints kit which has a few books in and a calculator too and think that's £19.95.

    Here's a link to the WW online shop. Everything you'll find on here is available at the meetings too. Every week they have things on offer as well so I'm always buying something.
    Dangerous thing is you can pay by card lol.

    Thank you, Treacle. I'm doing Simple Start but hopefully only for a week as it's the ProPoints I'm interested in.

    I didn't love the group to be honest. :eek: I have a 12 week GP referral, so I will stick with it for now but I can't envisaging myself paying for it. Then again, I didn't much like the SW groups either.

    I hated the SW classes I went too lol. They were so boring going round every single person and them feeling the need to discuss their bowel movements or lack of, then telling everyone about that time of the month and how they gained body magic from sex lol!!!
    It was all too happy clappy and the class would take ages lol!
    My WW meeting is quite small but its a nice group of people and the leader is fab xxx
