Hey everybody! I just wondered how long/how much weight you lost before you noticed any change in yourself?
I have been doing slimming world for three weeks and lost nine pounds but I cant see any difference at all! Nine pounds on paper sounds alot but I do not notice any difference in clothes etc. I must have been full of a lot of excess water weight!

5 % weightloss is when you start feeling the benefits and 10% weightloss is when you and other people start noticing weightloss... With you been very close to 5% you must be feeling much better about and feeling the health benefits too...

WELL DONE what a fantastic achievment in 3 weeks ... :) you are well on your way

Thanks! I think will prob slow down as the first few weeks are usually when you drop weight more quickly.
I think i will feel a bit more positive when i notice some looseness in my clothes!
Good luck on your weight loss! :)

wow well done raquel thats amazing!

Have just put on a pair of jeans not had on since started SW and they are a bit looser round the thighs. Any chance of the fat coming off the belly and chest where its all stored instead! already two sizes smaller on bottom half compared to top!

I've lost a stone exactly, and although my clothes do feel more comfortable now, I still cannot notice the different when I look in the mirror. However, this could be because I still think of myself as being bigger, as a lot of people have already commented on how good I am looking - it's such a great feeling!!
1 Stone down, and I'm feeling great. Still quite a while from where I want to be, but as they say...Rome wasn't built in a day!

You must be right MissJlouise! I've lost 12lbs since starting (again) in the middle of April, and this week am definitely feeling tighter/slimmer round the middle! Acc my calculator I'm just under the 5% mark. Thank you.

For me to tell a significant difference it is usually 10%. I have usually lost a full dress size by then. I was a size 18-20 when I started and I do seem to be on track to being a size 16-18 when I have lost another few pounds to get my 10%. When I am overweight/obese it does seem to be 1.5 st/dress size and when only a little overweight/healthy range it is more like 10-14 lbs/dress size.

A few people have commented already though (I did not tell them I was dieting) that I have lost weight though and my clothes are definitely more comfortable (The true size 18s - I never actually had any sz 20 - just big 18s and a couple of those are too big now).

Congratulations on your fantastic losses so far - I bet in another three weeks you will definitely be feeling the difference!

last time when I was on weight watchers I had lost over 3 stone before people at work started noticing. I never mentioned that I was on a diet but I felt so different it was weird that it took them so long but suddenly in the space of a week all kinds of people were asking 'have you lost loads of weight?'

Lots of people have started commenting in work over the last couple of weeks, I've lost 2 stone 2.5lb since January! I think you just seem to shrink all of a sudden ha ha keep it up and you'll soon notice a massive difference :)

I've gone from a size 18 to a 12 since january. People started to mention It but as soon as I bought my size 12 work shirt was when.everyone in work really started comenting. Took me a while until I noticed anything even though the clothes sizes went down I noticed more and more the bits I didn't like Its only really been the past 2 weeks where I've realised how much I really have shrunk!

Took me about 2.5 stone to notice a difference, but then Im probably about the second biggest one on here from what I've noticed :) I used to be way bigger than the size clothes I wore as that was all I could get, but now they all fit nice and loose, Ive just hit Club 10.

My mum's partner who I only see about 3 times a year asked me if Id lost weight last time I saw him (he didn't know I was trying to lose weight), that was about the 2 stone mark.

I found people start noticing if you change your clothes/buy new clothes.

I hid in my size 22/24 clothes for as long as possible - and then wore loads of layers all the time (waterfall cardigans anyone??!) and then i sort of emerged like a butterfly into slimmer jeans and tops and the compliments started :)

Hoorah for SW! x
