Oh no! Hubby who started lipotrim monday to support me but had decided to give up, he says he cant hack it and is too grumpy on it. Managed to convince him to do refeed to make sure he doesn't put the 10lba he's lost in 5 days, his belly has really gone in. Im a bit gutted, really want to eat chocolate but ill just end up feeling worse. Oh no, cant give up. Wont give up. Must keep strong.

Don't give up goose ! Your doing so well. I felt like that today after my rubbish loss this week but I'm not going to. Shame hubby has given up but don't let that put you off. I imagine all good covered in maggots and dog poo when I get cravings ! Weird but it works for me lol xx

Why does him being on the diet with you - affect YOUR journey? His successes or losses shouldn't affect your own. :) You are not connected at the hip!

I know it's a bit of a downer, I do better when my OH is doing the same diet with me, but the way men's weight loss is, I know that he'll be done sooner than I am and he may start doing a more food intense variation of the VLCD we're on (i.e. 3 packs, 1 meal per day) soon, while I am going to stick to the 4 packs a day.

So, I know I can't attribute my successes of willpower to that of his own.

Why are you feeling gutted? Are you feeling let down by him not being able to stick it out? Do you feel he needs the diet and you want him to get slimmer? Are you feeling slightly jealous that he gets to be 'off it' while you feel you still need to be 'on it'?

Have a think why you feel this way. :)

Try to persuade him to do just one more week? Then use emotional blackmail if he says no ;-)

thanks for the reply, you're right i dont need him to do jut makes life eaasier!! i did 14 weeks 100% whilst cooking for hm most nights. I guess Im finding my second attempt on it SOOOO hard so thought havin him on it would make it easier. hes actually told me he's back on it tomorrow. he does need to lose weight, since we got married our weigh has crept up and Im worred for his health.

i think for him,it might be easier for him to have a protein meal if he feels like giving in, I'm not sure, however he's just said to me he's starting back again tomorrow with me :) means I dont have to cook for him.

Thats great - but even if he doesn't continue, you can feel good that you are still 100%

My other half needs to lose weight, but I havent even tried to get him to do this because I know he wouldn't. I have started the whole family on a lovely healthy eating plan, no crazy diets, just healthy eating and small portions, I think he's losing weight, and I know that when I am down to goal and eat again that I won't have to have the age old battle of what's for dinner /lets get a takeaway.
