I dont know what diet I'm doing

When I first started I did a vlcd to kick start then I was counting calories, eating what I wanted as long as it was low GI and avoiding all the bad carbs. Now I have a prescribed diet, everything is measured and weighed with the protein, carbs, fats and calories counted and I dont have to think about anything.

would you say this is still calorie controlled? I ask because I dont feel like I have the same dilemas and issue as I did over a month ago and havent any need for recipes etc.
