just as a matter of interest which calorie controlled diet is best and also how much per week do you tend to loose from them?

What you ate could hav been worse - but as Gaz says if you simply cannot stick to this diet then a low fat/cal might be better for you.

Why not give it one last focussed go and if you just can't handle it after X time , don't go mad and put on what you think you have lost, just capitalise on it with another way :)

Hun - you wont lose as much weight on any other diet! Just try again. Have a chat with family and maybe avoid kitchen at meal times.....you can make it up by spending quality time at another time in the day. Go play football with kids after dinner or before while it is being cooked. Don't give up. Go to bed early, have a good sleep and wake up determined tomorrow!

Weight watchers / Rosemary Conley are pretty good - they don't just operate on calories but look at carbs, fat, sugers etc

They suggest a 2lb loss each week is normal, the more you have to lose will then affect this week by week.

Have a look in the local papers for classes there are always men in the groups (not that I don't want you to give LT a go though!) Good luc with your decision x

it is hard when the family is eating but i cook all the meals in my house and dont eat any of them ,start doing the dishes ,go for a walk ,sort out the laundry it will help you stay away from the food and the mrs will be very happy with you !!!!!

Sorry to be harsh but I reckon the fact that you LT for a few weeks and then admit you go back to eating and then LT again is your failing, you have to be 100% committed for a tfr to be successful and consistent....You either LT or you EAT....no messing abaht!;)

Now pick yourself up and try one more time, and keep away from the fridge!

LT is definitely not easy BUT it is worth it. Surely you can see that from the number of people on here who've lost stones in weight. I've only been going 5 weeks and I have had difficult days but my weight loss has been drastic and thus I don't give into temptation. Challenge yourself to stick at it for a week and see the results. That should inspire you to continue until you reach your goal.

Not sure why i fell off track but anyhow the results i suppose speak for themselfs so will keep oon trying!
