Hey everyone I just need a moan haha, I do so well on the weekend when I'm at home and can discipline myself but I am the manager of a childrens nursery and find it SOOO hard during the week when I have to prepare the childrens meals, snacks etc..
Today it was a little boys 2nd birthday and his parents brought a cake in!!!! It's just so hard to say no when the other staff don't know im on this diet :-( I would tell them about it BUT id constantly be nagged at for 'not needing to diet' and how 'dangerous' it is... And I really don't want that... Sorry to moan to you guys but feel your the only people who'd understand x

Hiya birds. I think everyone here has been in the same boat so we all understand!
You don't have to tell your colleagues to be able to say no to treats. Make an excuse or just say "no thanks I'm slimming but it looks delicious!" and smile. They can't force it down you. A lot of people say "oh you don't need to slim you're fine as you are"- they fear saying "good for you" or similar because it sounds like they think you need to diet! That's what I find anyway.
You CAN do this. You can do anything if you out your mind to it. It's just saying no that's the hard part! Think about why you started the diet and your end goal. Think about how amazing you're going to feel when you reach your goal and let that motivate you!
I see that you're getting married on the 19th may (congratulations!) so that is a massive motivation. Telling your colleagues you want to look your best for your wedding should be enough to stop them plying you with treats.
Keep going and get back on track, draw a line under the cake and start again tomorrow.

Being a nursery nurse myself I know exactly what u mean! Dont give up, it's not too late to be who u might have been xx

Thanks guys what your saying is absolutely right and I just need to forget about yesterday and start again today and toughen up and stop being afraid of offending people. I knew I could rely on someone in this forum to talk some sense into me haha...
THANK YOU and good luck to you both xx

If your stats are right, your BMI is currently 22 well inside the healthy range and you are aiming for a BMI of 19 which is approaching underweight, so really you don't need to be doing this programme at all, I don't want to be unsupported, but surely you should be looking at something like simple solutions at the most?

I agree, I don't think it's healthy to be doing a VLCD with a BMI under 25. You are right in the middle of the healthy range and so you would be better with a higher calorie diet. The Exante website asks you to confirm your BMI is 25 or over before you can place an order.

The reason why you are probably finding it difficult is that you are at an ideal weight for your height and your body is telling you that you need more x

I try not to rely on the BMI scale too much. It doesn't take into account build, muscle or anything like that.

I don't go on bmi either as I do train 5times a week and I am big built.. I have been overweight and really struggled in the past and from pure hard work I lost 3st. My chap did lighterlife and lost 10st in 4months and has maintained his weight!! Therefore I decided to use exante to shift a few pounds before I get married in 4weeks time!!! X

Good enough reason as any birdy, although if you train 5 times a week and have a healthy BMI maybe add a meal to your day too- you don't want to be ill for your big day. Everyone's build etc is different but be healthy first and foremost :)

Yeh if I'm honest I haven't stuck to it 100% anyway but it just helps to keep me on track :) how are you getting on??? X

I'm doing ok thank you, pretty bored now and it's not even been 2 weeks! But I'm sick and tired of being this size so I'll stick with it x

Aww I started it about 2weeks ago well actually just over a week ago, but not fully!!! I've just been stupid really and just need to get passed the first few days and I should be ok. Im aiming to start as I mean to go on tomorrow and then do it for another 2weeks... How's your weight loss been??? X

I lost 7 lbs in the first week and feel like I'm losing weight this week. Sounds silly but I just feel lighter! Stick to it hun, it is so rewarding to battle through the hunger and temptation then see the the number on the scales drop :) you may find you don't lose loads- generally the more you weigh the more that initially drops off. So don't feel discouraged if you don't get a huge loss! Any loss is a good loss so stick with it and you will consistently lose x

Wow 7lb thats fantastic!!! You've inspired me to do it full whack as of tomorrow!!! My chap did lighterlife 2years ago and lost 10st in 4months... He had one cheat meal and that's when we got engaged (and then it was only salad) haha!! Just so proud of his achievements and wish I had his will power... I AM going to do this :) thank you so so much xx

No problems keep on going and you will reach your goal! x
