I gave up. It was my own fault. I have no one to blame but myself.

    But I'm ALWAYS giving up.

I've started and stopped Slimming World I think a grand total of six times since 2007. WTF?!

I'm so happy when I've lost weight so why do I give it all up and then put on the weight I lost AND MORE!?
I think I'm now at my heaviest I've been in years and I know how horrible I look.

My boyfriend and I have finally got our place together, moved in on Friday (Yay!) After both of us living at his parents for a year and a half. So we can now both properly start our life together and I don't want it to be a life full of takeaway boxes, saturated fats and weight gain.

    I've got to start again.
We aren't really near a group where we're living now but I'm going to try my best.
This board has always been great in both support and motivation and I'm calling on you lovely people again to help make sure that this time, is the last time. :) xoxo

Sorry you're so upset QB. Have you tried to pinpoint the thought processes that occur just before you slip off the wagon? If you do then you could prepare yourself in case it happens again... Chin up chuckie - you can lose weight and you will!

I take it that is you in your avatar. You are such a stunning looking girl. Don't be sad, just take this irritation as motivation. You can totally do this. I've got a ton to lose (a lot mor than you) so I appreciate how disheartening it can be after you have put more on and have to start again. But you can do it and people here will be supporting you and cheering you on.

Yes you look amazing. Don't waste your young life away thinking how awful you look! Just get back in there and try and work out just why you gained weight, then you can make sure it won't happen again. XX

The fact that you keep re-trying shows something though!
But maybe SW isn't for you? There are similar groups to SW that may suit you more maybe???

I agree with what everyones said above, especially stephanie! You've came back and facing up to it is hard.
I'm 20 and the last 5 years i restarted slimming world about 4 times and give WW a go twice. I started again 2 weeks ago today and when i found out how much i weighed i could of cried on the spot. I'm the same weight i was when i very first started slimming world when i was about 15 and i vowed i wasn't going to get that big again, and here i am.
Something definitely feels different this time i've joined, i just can't carry on living like this anymore! And i don't know why i do it to myself, there's nothing positive about being this overweight. Having the food i've been eating isn't worth being this miserable!

You only give up when you stop trying - so it's more of a temporary blip than giving up completely.

Sometimes life does just get in the way, and if moving into a new home isn't one of those things, then what is?!

You know the plan, you know it works, so just forget about what might have happened over the last few weeks, and move forward. You've done it before, so you'll do it again!

Good luck & congratulations on your new place!

    xxxx

You can do it -the first step has been taken by making your post on here! We all lose our way at times but the main thing is that you have focus and goals which you obviously do! And now you have your own place YOU make teh food rules! A little routine goes a really long way. Draw a line, step over it, stope being hard on yourself and get on with it now!!! Good luck babe. x

Hey QB. I remember your posts from the end of last year when I was trying to get back on the SW wagon. I found them so motivating and inspiring. And now I'm going to group and doing really well (apart from this week's gin blip!). So your positivity helped me. I'm sure you have enough left to help yourself.

You have a wonderful opportunity to start life in your new home on the right foot. Don't make the mistake of creating 'bad food memories' there.

New home, new healthy eating regime, new you. You'll be there before you know it.

    xx

I'm very much the same. Whenever I end up losing weight - I never go the distance. I think "Oh that's good enough." and I switch back to eating rubbish. Because I lost the weight so I can eat like I used to! Not. True. I always put it back on. This time I'm really committed and I want to continue to eat healthily once I'm at target. I don't know WHY I stop. And I haven't gotten to the point yet where I would normally stop, so I'm afraid it's waiting for me in the wings!! But as I'm older now - I'm 30!! It's time to quit messing about. I have a beautiful daughter with tons of energy who makes me laugh. And I want to keep up with her. And maybe even have another baby - eek! I guess for some of us, it takes a few walks around the block to see that the scenery will always be the same unless we make a different turn. I've made the turn. The journey is much more interesting on this route. Good luck hon. Don't beat yourself up. If weight loss was easy - EVERYBODY would do it!! Having your own home will make it LOADS easier as well. How exciting for you! Make some healthy meals and happy memories. And keep everyone posted. No one would like to see you succeed more than yourself - and the lovely people on minimins. :) xxx
