Ideas for sweets

Hi everyone :)

I was thinking about making a box of low-syn/syn-free chocolates/sweets/other small dessert type items for my mam for Mothers Day (she is also doing SW)

I have the recipe for the scanbran/nutella ferreror roche and the jelly sweets (with sugar free jelly powder/gelatine) but was wondering if anyone else has any ideas for what to put in?

Thanks all! x

Does your mum like coconut? x

Bear with me, I'll find the coconut macaroon recipe on here. I made them for our taster evening (made them about walnut sized so just right for a bite, worked out about 1.5 syns each) xx

3 Egg Whites
4 tablespoons sweetener
6oz Desiccated coconut ( 8 1/2 syns per 28g so 51 syns total)
5-6 chopped Glace cherries to decorate (1/2 syn each, so 3 syns)
whisk the egg whites until frothy.Whisk in the sweetener, then gradually add the coconut. The mixture should be just firm enough to roll into balls.

Roll into balls and place on lined baking sheets leaving room for spreading. Press a small piece of cherry into each ball. I made 30.

Bake in a preheated oven 180C / 350F / Gas mark 4 for 16 mins.

Leave to cool on the baking sheet.

I found these absolutely delicious! xx
