I'm Back

Hi All

After nearly seven weeks away, due to my mum's death I'm back!!!

Just had my first blended vanilla milkshake with ice yum!

Went away last week and put no weight on, I'm so pleased to be starting exactly the same weight where I left seven weeks ago. This inspired me to continue knowing you can maintain the weight loss after the shakes.

Dad is taking my sister and I to Puerto Banus in November for the weekend so I definatley need to be closer to my goal by then.

Take care

Chaddy xx

In desperate need of support

Hello Chaddy
Nice to see your note advising your return and I am sorry to hear about your sad loss. You have had to do whatever you've had to do to get you through an unbelievably difficult time and I think its great that you are getting back on LT again and wish you lots and lots of weight loss so that you can really enjoy your holiday.

I am starting LT again after 9 months break. I started this time last year and due to a very stressful 14 weeks whilst I was on it, through health problems and also through working 12 hour days 7 days a week in the NHS (I know ... what happened to the 48 hour european working directive) I failed miserably and only managed to lose 25 lb. Then in April this year I underwent gynae surgery and had a tube and ovary removed and shortly after that also developed a degenerative neck problem which is affecting my arms and hands and will eventually need surgery and because I had two months off at home and was fed up I just ate and ate and ate. I now top the scales at 16st 10lb and whilst that may not seem that much to some of you at 5'1" I am now a size 24 and the biggest I have ever been. When I was 25 I had kept my weight at a healthy 8st 4lb for over ten years, even though the rest of my family were all on the big side.

I am now firmly on the road to metabolic syndrome and desperately need to stop this destructive behaviour and start to look after myself. I am a positive person and devote much of my time to making other people feel better about themselves, so why can't I just give myself a bloomin good shake and snap out of it. I am desperate for another child and time isn't on my side, nor the fact I only have one tube and ovary and I'm also a PCOS sufferer, and I can't pile on baby weight on top of the weight I am already carrying as when I last gave birth I was only 15 stones at full term and both my baby and I ended up having problems. I need help. I've invested in a wii fit and am currently doing 30 minutes a day on this, so I suppose that's something. Any advice or words of encouragement would be so much appreciated.

Welcome back Chaddy and well done for getting through a very stressful time without putting on any weight. Good luck for your restart and I'm sure you'll be sunning yourself in November a slimmer, fitter, gorgeous you.

Good luck with your restart as well. You haven't had things easy in the last few months but you have us to help you through this and I'm sure you will do well.

How did you manage to get hold of a wii fit, you lucky thing! I've been trying to get one for months! Keep on it babe and get yourself a ticker so we can see how well you are doing.

Although I am a bit taller than you, 5'5", I started 2 stone heavier than you and a size 22/24 and this last 4 months has totally changed my life for the better. I weigh less than I did at least 14 years ago and am no longer obese.

Good luck babe and come on here whenever you need help, support or company.

Hi Chaddy, welcome back. Sorry to hear about your mum hun.

Are you from Chadderton...I'm from Failsworth! Its a small world. Good luck with the diet, I'm sure you don't need it. xx

Welcome back and good luck with the journey. If you can stick through the first week or so you will be back into the swing of things and you will be surprised how quick the weigh ins fly by and the weight drops.

I am sure the weight loss will be an extra bonus because it will help your health problems as well.

You mention the time you devote to helping others feel good about themselves, I would suggest you probably don't achieve this by giving them 'a good shake' or telling them to pull themselves together. I wonder of it would help if you treated yourself as well as you treat your friends! (Don't mean this to sound smart ass x)
Welcome back chaddy and hello, i have only been on here for a little while. Sorry to hear about your loss but WELL DONE you for not gaining at your lowest point. We all now how easy it is to go back to our old eating habits. Good luck with your first weigh in x
