Im defecting from another diet for a little variation........

S: 146.1kg C: 141.1kg G: 69.9kg BMI: 47.3 Loss: 5kg(3.42%)
Hi All,

I've come over to pro points to see what its all about,

I've been doing Atkins, on and off for a yr now (been here at minimins), and although i love the food, i cannot follow the plan at a weekend because i dont eat a lot or when i do i prefer carbs as im on the go, this stalls me for 3/4 days of the week...so, im thinking, i really do need to lose more weight, maybe i should try pro points,

A friend at work is doing it successfully, so ive been reading on here and google all about it,

I've calculated my PP at 33 and from looking at your menus, thats actually doubling the food i eat on a daily basis now lol (im not a big eater, gawd knows how i got this big lol)

So does anyone have any words of wisdom for me....and more importantly.....how many PP in a large glass of wine!!!!!

ww fruity wine is 3pp a glass and you can buy in individual glass bottles. Its not half bad either :D

If you feel you cant use your points up in a day, just increase the type of food. ie go full fat if you usually would go low fat etc. Use up all your dailies. Drink 2l water a day. Most importantly...enjoy it!

Hi missy- i came over to :) The one thing that i've a problem with on this is points for alcohol. For so long on atkins we could drink as much wine or vodka as we wanted, it takes a bit of getting used to. I'm getting on great at it and i throw in 2/3 zero carb days into the mix.

Good luck, I am sure you will find it a big change. You may have a slow start as your body adapts to the new diet, but do perservere, it will be well worth it!

Hi all, and hi marysu!!!!!!

its not that the diet didnt work, as clearly from my stats it did....

a colleague of mine is pro points and she has lent me her books for a couple of days and ive found an online pro points calculator....ill be doing it at home, but i do have good willpower its just the fact that falling off the wagon on atkins takes days to fix...

im going to buy a smaller wine glass cause mine is extra large! haha and measure 125ml...i can cut out the alcohol through the week, its the weekend i enjoy it..

im really looking forward to starting and probably will start at the weekend.....im busy building my menus and calculating pp for the food i enjoy normally, its just going to be a big difference from eating full fat atkins for almost a year now!!
