I started on microgynon when I was 17, was on it for 6mths and it made my a psycho 
I had bad pmt,felt anxious and depressed all the time.I was on cilest for about 7 yrs and had no problems at all,it was a wonder drug for me,lighter periods,skin was amazing,hardly any cramps and pmt was minimal.
I came off it about 15 months ago because I took my BP in work and it was WAY too high.now I'm not taking anything, I used an app to get to know my cycle for a while,but now I can just sense when I'll be 'on'.I have major water retention now and every third period is a heavy painful one eek,but manageable.
The one thing I was hoping to happen coming off was that I'd loose my 'pill weight'... I was always 9st before the pill.I didn't loose a lb,in fact I put on.also I now have some pimples on my back where as I never had any spots before it sucks!
I do kinda like the feeling of being all natural with my cycles tho (weird). My poor boyfriend has just had to get used to buying durex lol!
