Is anyone on the contraceptive pill as well as xenical?

I was just wondering if the strength of the pill is weakened by xenical?

Ok just read up and apparently it does weaken the contraceptive pill, no wonder I feel pregnant I probably am. Oh dear.

I am on the pill with it. My doctor would have advised if it had an effect.

Obviouly if you get diohrea (dodgy spelling) on it then it will effect the effectiveness of the pill.

I take mine last thing at night to prevent that.

I agree with hungary, my nurse did mention it, but only as a something to be cautious of if I was experiencing any side effects.

I Googled it, and this is what NetDoctor says:

This medicine can cause diarrhoea, which if severe, can reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptive pills. Women taking the pill for contraception should therefore use an additional method of contraception, eg condoms, to prevent pregnancy, if they experience severe diarrhoea while taking this medicine. Follow the instructions in the leaflet provided with your pill

I always take my contraceptive at around 10pm, a few hours after taking my Xenical...and so far so good!!
