Hey Everyone...

I'm just half way through my first week of CD and the smell of food make me nauseous. I hate it! I live with my family so often the house is filled with the smell of delicious foods. But it just makes me gag. :yuk: If I smell food it makes my stomach rumble- in a nasty way!

Is anyone one else experiencing this or something similar too?

I'm hoping this is just an effect of the begining stages because I'm so determined to reach (and even maybe surpass) my goal.

P.S. I'm loving the success stories... they really do keep me going!

So weird! lol

I was worried it was just me... but I guess it has its benefits. I'm not tempted to eat the food as the smell puts the taste of oily fries in my mouth (I know... double weird! lol) Night time is a killer tho... no one is cooking and the fridge is all mine! I've had to stick a note on the fridge "SS 100%" don't want to fail now!

Naijababe - I too am a Naija babe lol!! Thank God Its just me and hubbie and I am not at my parents anymore because my mum's food is irresistable! I am at the end of week 4 and I won't lie...I smell Jollof rice, I want to eat it :D

luckily he hasnt cooked that for a while
i love the smell of the cooking but have no desire to taste it

A side effect of ketosis can be increasing your sense of smell so everything smells much stronger. Weird isn't it?
I sing in a choir and found that while on SS, everything was louder as well (which is even more weird) - maybe something to do with sinuses, although I never thought I had any difficulties there.
As for the food, many people (me included) become obsessed with food while on SS - not eating it, just enjoyed watching food porn and strangely enough, cooking for others

Not a good thing lol
lol he told me off for staring at him while he was eating the other day, said i had a weird look on my face was worried i was gonna pounce on him, lol

DAMN DAMN DAMN! I had a bad evening... was doing so good today but then I had to attend a family gathering. For my fellow Jellof lovers you will understand when I say... there was SUYA! SNAPPER! Not to talk of all the Jellof! The smell made me sick but the sight of all these wonderful african foods made my mouth water... I regret to inform you I gave in to temptation. I stayed away from carbs tho, I just had fish and chicken.. oh and suya.

Now I'm scared I'm no longer in ketosis :(

Does this mean I'm starting again? btw... I have only had 2meal packs 2day, I was gonna have my last tonight.

DAMN DAMN DAMN! :cry:

I doubt you are out of ketosis hun, try and put it behind you. And if you ahve dropped out of ketosis it won't take long to get back there again, so try not to worry.

I love baking, the smells are wonderful, I can't stand watching people eat though as thats when I want to give in to the temptation

naijababe try not to worry, you stuck to the protiens, just drink plenty water and put it behind you hun

ss+ is basically chicken/fish and some green vegetables and ive been known to have that at times to stop me going for the high carb items ( thou ive also been known to stick a spoonful of jollof rice in my mouth when others arnt looking, less said about that the better, lol )

ok which one of you rang my partner?

just wondered into the kitchen to see what hes doing and yep you guessed it hes preparing jollof rice, lol

ahh well ill just stay out the kitchen and he can feed madam tonight
