i.e An MSN chat room where people can go once a day for support. Some people might not need this but this is Day 3 and I am struggling.

I will get through the day but an online meeting would be excellent, do they exist.

As I have said before this is an addiction we are all trying to beat, and when the weight has been lost relapse occurs in more people than it doesn't.

Don't like to be pessimistic but we all know the statistics.

But we can all do it as long as we remember that we have got a food addiction and treat it with the respect it deserves.

Creo, isn't talking on here with people going to be of use?

I could give you a couple tips. I remember my first week vividly :)

ok.. did you scoff a load of food before you went onto LT ? eg, over the weekend ? if so, you may find it'll take a little longer to get into Ketosis, thats where things start looking up.. big time.

I realise it's too late to do anything now, but i'd highly recommend a visit to any decent pharmacy tomorrow and get a tub of Ketostix.. 6 quid for 50.. and pee on the reagent bit the next time you goto the toilet. if you're not in ketosis it'll stick on beige color. if you're on, it'll go pink/purple.

drink an ENORMOUS amount of water. at least 2 litres, preferably 3-4

black coffee with either 1 candarel tablet sweetner, or a hermesetus, chug them if you start feeling hungry.

try a hot shake in the evening.. warms you up and it's a slightly different taste.. you could also try popping a spoon or 2 of strong coffee into the vanilla or choco shakes, get a semi-decent latte/mocha.

try to do VERY little exercise.. I took my first week off work and bummed for a week until i got onto Keto. then I couldn't keep myself from doing ALL sorts of stuff.

Loads of people have the shakes warm. I can't tell you 100% if its ok or not. But people seem to do fine with it :) I have a hot one once a week or so.. it doesn't seem to screw me up at all.

you can deffo have the shakes warm but remember not to make them in a shaker with hot water as its dangerous, i used to make mine cold then micro others may know of other ways.

As already said if you had a last night binge then itll take a little longer to get into ketosis, the more water you can manage to drink the better you will do, a lot of the time thirst is confused with hunger so make a brew if you think you are hungry, also if your on male shakes try splitting it into 4 so make up half the pack then later on make up the rest have 4 small meals, if like some of the chaps on here your using female LT then split your shakes into 6 it helps as you get to "eat" more often. There are always people on here ready to help even if it appears that there is no one about because no one is posting because the Cambridge Dieters and Lighterlife lot are in the same position so lots of them read the LT board as we LT's read theirs BONUS means you have loads of people to ask for help.

You really shouldn't microwave shakes as that "kills" all the nutrients and vitamins. But making a shake with hot water i.e mocha or hot chocolate is fine.
