Joining up tomorrow....nervous!!!!!!

Hi everyone, I'm going to join SW tomorrow, am quite nervous as it's the first time I've done this. (always used to do ww)

I have at least 2 stone to lose and am hoping to lose 1 stone in time for Christmas - do you think that's doable?!!

I've got fitness DVD's to do at home so hoping that I'll focus enough to do at least 30 mins 3 times a week.

I'm loving the sw magazine and reading everything on here :D

Ricepop - don't worry, SW is very easy and very friendly. A stone by Christmas is a good goal and very doable. I also did WW before and the thing that got me is that when I ran out of points for the day, I couldn't eat any more and that drove me crazy - just thinking about all the things I couldn't eat!!!! That's why i really like SW - there's so much 'super free' and 'free food' that you can snack on to your heart's content...you can make chicken kebabs, a burger, an omelette or a nice quiche to eat if you're hungry and it's all free and all within plan :)

Don't be nervous...SW is so friendly - I wish I could go more than once a week! A stone by Christmas is a great goal but I think you might surprise yourself! Good Luck
I second the keeping a food diary - it really helps you to see what you've been eating. Your councillor will give you one in your pack and check it for the first few weeks, but I've found it really helps to keep going with it. Good luck!
Don't be nervous! i joined tonight and had a great time, very friendly! A stoone is more than doable I reckon!! Good luck and make sure you go for it 100% this week and hopefully we will see amazing loss!! xx:D
As the others have said, that is a very realistic and achievable goal. You may even get a bit more! :)

I joined 4 weeks ago and am really enjoying it.

I've been keeping a food diary on here and a pocket one as well. When I didn't keep it for a week I didn't lose anything as I wasn't counting the syns, thinking I could run before I could walk I suppose :rolleyes:

The ladies in my group are lovely and really helpful with tips and anything else I need.

Like everyone else here I'm loving it, hope you all do too :D
Bit late now, but so as you know, if you dont want to know your starting weight, you dont actually have to. We have a woman who attends group who didnt want to know what she started at and doesnt want to know anything other than her losses, so we dont write anything in her book, it is all detailed on the computer system, and she doesnt see that. She just knows how much comes off each week.

Hope everything went well for you at your first group, doesnt matter what the scales said today, what matters is that you took the first step to making them say less, often a lot less, and you are choosing an excellent way to do so.

My aim is 10 stone but at the least 10st 7lbs so have over 2 stone to lose.

Really enjoyed class, consultant is very energetic friendly and enthusiastic so feel good about returning!!!!

We also have a lady who doesn't know what she's lost or how much she loses every week, she put her fingers in her ears, we found out her loss and then applauded her!!!!! I couldn't do that - I have to know!!!!

I'm very excited about really getting stuck into the plan, just need to get my head in gear and plan my menu ready for shopping on Friday.

went 2nyt 2 a class so good and everyone friendly nearly crying as stood on the scales but n the rite path now xxx
I felt like that when I got on the scales for the 1st time. I knew I was over-weight but never weighed myself. I was 16st 9lb :cry: That was on the 28th May 2009 and on Thursday last week I got my 5 stone award :D
My goal is to get to 10st 9lb by the end of November when I will have been at SW for 18 months
