Jumping Ship

    Well my dears, I've decided to jump ship from LLT to CD SS. There's a a few reasons behind this, but the cost is a big factor (I'm a young single person renting their own flat in one of the most expensive cities in the UK while paying the mortgage on another... go figure!) and the other was I don't think I'm getting much benefit out of the group sessions.

    Although I have some food issues, I have always been a very self-reliant person and I'm very good at working through issues alone. Since starting total food abstinence I felt I have done this very well and that the group sessions haven't helped me do it; I've done it alone. I don't have any self confidence issues and I feel there's a lot of focus on this with the LL group sessions.

    Simply put, I'm one of the very few people who don't benefit hugely from the groups. I think they're brilliant for most people and not knocking them in the slightest as they clearly work, but for all the good they were doing me I couldn't justify the extra £128 a month.

    I start CD SS on Tuesday when my LLT packs run out, so will be sticking around until then.

    Hello and good luck on your new journey. I have heard that there are some tasty treats on CD ...... so really hope u njoy and real ur goal.

    Still on LL at the moment, verge! :) Meeting with the Cambridge Consultant tomorrow afternoon and I'll get my packs from her then, but won't start until Tuesday when my LL packs run out.

    I intend to go to WI on Monday to say cheerio and get contact details from the girls and also tell my LLC. I'm quite nervous - I told some of the girls at group last week and they're all very supportive, but worried my LLC will not be.

    Do you think I will still be able to get my WI in Monday even if I'm not buying packs, as I paid the £15 lifetime membership fee? I'd like to get one more so I can calibrate my home scales properly.

    How did it go at the final meeting. I do hope they were supportive. Cant see why not.
    Even if she did not let u get on i would just go by what is at home right now and start from there...a few pounds dont matter in the long run as long as u weigh yourself b4 starting CD and then stick to the same scales.

    Didn't manage to get to my final WI last night - sick as a dog with a respiratory infection, so have been at home feeling sorry for myself and nursing my wounds.

    The CDC weighed me when I officially registered on Sunday evening (I'm normally weighed Monday evenings) and I'd lost 4lbs! She also measured me - 7cm off my waist, 6cm off my hips and 5cm off my bust since 12 September! I could have done loop-de-loops with joy.

    First day of CD was today. Had their "Maple and Pecan" porridge for breakfast and thought it was horrid, "leek and potato" soup was okay and everything was MAGICALLY redeemed by their chocolate orange bar which was kind of like a jaffa cake without the cake. Num num!

    Need to get some home scales by next week though, as my CDC will be on holiday when I'm due my next WI.

    Sounds fab!!! I think the tetra packs are a god send!! I do miss the Cambridge packs, but I still need the counselling side!!!

    Hey girls! It's been a week since I was last weighed, though I've only been on CD since Tuesday. Finding it okay, though miss the LL packs - the CD packs are really strongly flavoured and I'm not enjoying them much, but the bars make up for it!

    I did manage to lose 7lbs in my first week though, so cockahoop about that. :)

    Hope everyone else is doing well! Just off to read your diaries!

    Well done ! that is a great loss as u have only switched from LL to CD. So it is not as though u started afresh and u were expecting a big loss !! Great!!!!

    Hope u start getting used to the flavours. If they are too strong will it help adding more water (just a thought)
