Gosh, tips for first week?
I don't really know to be honest!
Firstly, I threw out all of the 'rubbish' in my fridge and cupboards so I have nothing to tempt me.
I wrote a big poster and stuck it to the cupboard where the 'treats' were stored, which happens to be next to the fridge. On it I have written that 'Nothing tastes as good as being slim will feel' in big letters and then I have dotted around it all of my goals, and finished it off with 'hunger is a state of my mind and I can beat it'. I find this so motivational!
I have had temptation thrown at me from every direction this week....cakes in work, a kiddies party buffet and a sunday lunch yesterday, but have resisted it all by mentally chanting my poster. I would be so disappointed in myself if I were to eat, as the only person I'd be failing is myself.
I've found 3 shake flavours that I really like. I have strawberry for 'breakfast' at around 7.30/8am. Then I have Vanilla for 'lunch' at around 3pm. I save my favourite, mint chocolate, for around 7.30pm once my son is in bed.
I fill up 2x2 litre bottles of water each night and keep them in the fridge. Once they are gone I know I have had plenty to drink! I found it hard drinking the water fro ma glass so I bought a 750ml bottle of Highland Spring and now refill this to drink out of. I don't know why, but it is easier to drink it this way for me.
I have explained to my son, who is 4, that mummy is having these special shakes to help her wobbly bits go away so that we can go swimming together and have great fun. I was incredibly worried that us not eating together would be a problem but actually it's fine, and cooking for him poses no problems either. Being a mum is one thing I know I am good at so I know he is getting all he needs nutritionally, and I still sit with him, we chat and stuff, I just don't eat.
Does any of that help???
